I think a third plan would resolve this and be a great middle ground for people. Streaming Plan + $2 a month allows you to check out a DVD then pay like $2 for each DVD shipped. This way people would have the ability to still get the occasional DVD only title but not be able to get more than 2 or 3 a month before they would be better served with both Streaming and DVD plans. Also if people didn't get any DVD's for a while (I fall into this category having a DVD on my dresser for 2 months now) Netflix would be making $2 more off me a month than they would if I only had the streaming. People would most likely rather have the option and pay a couple bucks than have both at double their current costs when most don't likely use both.

I'll pay a dollar or more a month for the streaming plan which puts me in the maybe a DVD category. For each DVD I rent I pay like 2 or 4 dollars. This allows me to get a DVD if I really want it but also not have a plan I never use. Currently I have the streaming and 1 DVD plan and I have had that DVD for probably 2 months so I really doubt I will opt for the DVD plan on top of the streaming at the current cost, I would just bittorrent for the occasional item. My suggestions seems fair, they get a few extra dollars a month for people that may never use the feature but if people get enough DVDs a month they would be better served just adding the DVD plan. The extra buck or two a month for streaming with possible DVD would be such a low cost that people would probably rather have the option then not, like phone insurance.:)
Well Thunderbird doesn't even support that much. Also the webmail interface to certain Exchange versions does not have all the functionality if you use a browser other than IE.
I think that was the point. Evolution supports Exchange connections with plugin (not well but Outlook crashes all the time too, just not as bad) if I recall Thunderbird only supports IMAP connections.

from what i can see ibm has a different business model than those other companies. i dont work for ibm or have any business relationship with them but it appears they take all the cool stuff out there and try and put it together into a working solution they can sell. they got out of the laptop world which was smart since hardware is a losing place. imo they are doing the right thing. their support is expensive but they do bring solutions to the table and companies will always need that.

All in all I think it is a good indication of the average morality of people. How long is it before stores function in this way anyway with only self checkout and no personnel? I just installed Adobe Acrobat Standard 6 on a Win7 computer and I doubt it really works correctly but I got it so the website they use to generate reports using the local machines PDF creator worked (even though the distiller isnt there). It worked fine on 2000 for which it was written then for XP since they are so similar but here we are 10 years later and what am I suppose to do install XP because that is what it worked on? Fuck that! If it doesn't work buy a new version of Adobe Standard or use some free equivalent. Why would I leave a weak XP machine on the network when the purpose of getting a new PC was to move forward and ensure working hardware. Just because I know how to configure a server doesn't mean I like having someone breathing down my neck watching what I am doing at all times. I don't read the newspaper but aren't these checkpoints announced in the paper ahead of time. Why is getting a reminder wrong. I don't drink but I don't necessarily want to get slowed down driving through these, in fact when I can see inspection sticker checks ahead I usually go out of my way to avoid them even with valid tags. I find it's best to avoid police at all costs.
The problem with youtube is anybody can create a million accounts and nothing lost. How much crap is there on youtube and not just stuff I don't like but real crap, kids screaming, dumb people's blogs, video responses, songs with text or black screens just so a song can get uploaded. What I would like is an opportunity for people to make sketch comedies, shows, and movies. There is a ton of stuff on Netflix like stand-up and SNL and for the most part the acts are garbage. I think now a days it isn't too hard to get a camcorder and make something watchable. Having to pay a subscription kinda stops you from spamming so it would be more of stuff that people put effort into making.
What would be really cool if there was an area were people could submit their own films and shorts and netflix users could rate them. Obviously they would be in the Not Rated section. I feel like I reached the end of all their streaming stuff so I wouldn't mind seeing a bunch of dumb shows people make. It wouldn't be too hard to make something like Trailer Park boys. Netflix could also make it so only valid accounts can submit content and perhaps after a period of time has passed. This way it would weed out spammers somewhat, or at least Netflix would make money off the spammers.
