Too right Sir, good thing we've all signed the petition to ban it. It's just not green enough. Overexposure to it has been known to cause a slow painful death in the most dreadful ways.
I'll bite...Unfortunately, I don't have a basement, so therefore there are times that I am required to venture into the outer realm that happens to be heated by the big ball of gas known as Sol, as opposed to a pump;P Seriously though, this is exactly what I have been looking for. What better way to show up your friends when they cry "You're wrong, google it!" knowing that there is no connection possible within twenty miles. Next time i'm drunk at the beach and someone wants to pretend to know the history of coffee harvesting, it's on.
Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some fuckin' muscle.
But I need Mom to call me... But only when she says that she just got some Pzones from Pizza Hut®. Otherwise she can stay the hell upstairs, all that light...!
FWIW, I am not extremely *nix(y) inclined, but one of my most pleasant experiences with an unfamiliar was one with FreeBSD. I guess it came from the fact that I got only exactly what I wanted out of that system (due to the fact that I put (made) it there) and nothing more. PC-BSD's live CD is quite also, and not that much of a stretch for a typical Windows power-user. If I had a choice between a mainstream Linux distro and FreeBSD, I would choose FreeBSD. That is, for what my biased opinion is worth, my recommendation.
In 20 years, I would hope that I can print more than 20-30 high quality images without spending $40-50 on ink cartridges. Maybe the R&D departments should spend some time there... Of course, that would be in opposition to the corporate business plan (make as much money with as little effort as possible). Parent is on target though; I would add that cost effectiveness of prints is/should be a priority for most end users rather than the longevity of said prints. If it costs pennies to reprint an image, it will be trivial for someone to try to transpose images to a new format (if possible). But enough with my ramblings:)
At least you'd have a line of young bucks waiting to crank the OLPC for a few minutes... -->interpret that however you'd like, it works.
The goggles would work then. Your logic is flawed.

Quit smacking them every time you see "PC LOAD LETTER"!

File search intergration bundled with web searches, and tabs on the browser. 90% of Windows users are too befuddled to read any further.
At least they can watch the re-runs of Red Dwarf for 7 whole days.
It's unfortunate that they forgot the six packs of Perriair for this exact situation.
