So don't buy the phone from verizon, get it yourself, at full price, and use any of the features you want to.

But why limit the device based on where a user may be? It has wireless, you think that would be one of the cool things they push about it, and try and emphasize what you can do with that wireless.

The obvious fact that the iPod Touch isn't an iPhone doesn't change the fact that the iPod Touch is technologically capable of certain features that aren't exclusive to a phone type device. No weather app, no stock app, no notes app, no email app, and a non-functioning calendar. Yet these are all conspicuously absent from the Touch. It's almost as if they want you to buy the more expensive product. Not like apple or microsoft are particularly good about product segmentation, thats all the Gizmondo article was pointing out.

Well, what about the iPhone and iPod touch issue then. Same OS, most likely same processors and flash chips. Plenty of stuff not on the Touch that are on the iPhone.
I thought part of the point of a faraday cage was to not allow signals out as well. This would kind of nullify the point. Great, my radio isn't susceptible to interference anymore, but I can't hear shit on it either.
My desktop computer could run vista if I choose to put it on there, which I haven't. The specs of it are easily double in every area, and I built my computer in early 03. That would put it at almost 5 years. If you are going to say Vista sucks, and Leopard will be better, just say it.
Little do they know that the average SAT at Tech is actually low compared to what they would expect. Last time I heard, it was about 1330 average, and that was about 3 years ago. I can't imagine it has gone up terribly. But yeah, those sort of people are tools, and they are definitely abound.
It wasn't when the guns were pointed at her that she was tongue tied though, but when an airport employee asked her about it, after Star approached the airport employee. Granted the hoax device charge may be a bit much though.
This was attached to a hoodie, which could have concealed explosives. So, while I think the police were correct in stopping her to verify that she did not have any explosives, I think they did go overboard about having a "hoax device" and getting sent to jail. This didn't actually disrupt any of the airports essential services, no planes were held up, just a few police officers were needed to verify that a situation wasn't dangerous. Isn't that part of their job anyways?
Err, I think you are confused about what the article is talking about. The lawsuit doesn't seek on Demand type services for every channel. They want to be able to do what you described in your last paragraph, pay per channel that you actually want to watch, rather than getting bundles.
Indeed we were CS majors, and it was Calc 3 for CS class (read: linear algebra). I realize that you shouldn't start studying the night before, and we generally didn't. But we also didn't do all the problems a week or so in advance. But yes, I found quite often that the experience of going through stuff on my own generally outweighed simply sitting in class and copying down what the prof said word for word.
One of those free mmos me and a friend tried out for a little bit, the water was terrible. I didn't expect miracles from a free mmo, but if you turned the water quality to the lowest setting, it was reflective. I wondered why my friend was having trouble attacking the crabs in the water, and then I looked over at his laptop screen, and saw the sky where the water should be.
My Calc 3 professor did write his own book, along with others, but the Calc 3 incident was notable because it is different than the other people who have replied to you. This professors book was available on the intranet in pdf format, and he would sell copies for under 10 bucks, probably about the cost of the paper, ink, binding, and a bit of money for the assistant who made the copies. The real problem with this was, there were no peer reviews of it, so often times in studying for a test, me and my classmates would start to do an exercise in there that we hadn't looked at yet, and lo and behold there is a typo in there. Or so we think. Maybe we did our math wrong.... Lets rework it.....
Maybe your local bookstore has somewhat more sane prices, but the markup at mine was easily 30-40% of the book list price. Shipping can't even come close to touching that.
I'm convinced that there is a direct correlation in people's minds about the quality of a product, and the heft of it. The light something is, it just feels cheaper. Even with a titanium watch, it feels cheaper than other metal band watches. This definitely extends into the electronics area. I think some of it is the fact that there are very few ways you can judge the quality of devices, so anything that is available, you latch onto.
Moving sideways isn't an advance.
Chances are the University already owns the patent, if someone produces it there, in their employment.

Why? That food is "yours to keep" as well. They don't make you shit it out or vomit it back up before you get off the plane.
What, virtually 1 to 1?

Keeping all your savings in a bank's savings account doesn't really smack of fiscal prudence to me.

What rights were taken away? They detained her to ascertain if something that was reported as a possible threat was credible or not.
Because all police officers and TSA agents are people involved with electronics, right?

I've had my cell number for almost 6 years, and my landline for about 21. Plenty of people keep them for over 5 years.
Because being forced to show your receipt is not the easier way, it is the wrong and illegal way.
