As someone that actually tried to deploy a semi-complicated ASP.NET app to Mono once, I disagree. Windows Form authentication did not even work in the mono release I used at the time, which led me to believe that no one actually uses Mono with ASP.NET. My point is that I think people like to mention it often but no one actually does it. (I call "bullshit")
I met the guy because I live in Austin and he has game testing events at their offices from time to time. You get to come in, eat pizza, and play some new games for free... hard to beat.
Change is good and the commute alone should make your life better, increase in salary or not. Also, you will get to leave behind all the crap you used to do/support and start fresh. Do it!
Is this similiar to how people compain that Comcast has a lower QoS for VOIP packets and this law says that is OK because they can prioritize how their own network functions?
