First thing I did years ago when I got a BlackBerry was turn the email notification sounds/vibrations off. Aside from the fact I get way more email that I'd like to, I know I would want to check it once I hear it. By having it off, I check it on my terms.
I don't have a typical 8-5, have to be in the office job, so for me the BlackBerry is a huge asset and time saver. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is grab my BlackBerry and see how my day is lining up so far. Occasionally, I get a sneak a bit more sleep:)
Also, change your emails signatures to be identical from both your email client and BlackBerry and people won't know where you sent it from!
Yeah, great solution! Have companies waste more money paying up the rear for "business" class accounts, increasing costs for their products and services.
Not to imply that you don't know what you're talking about, but isn't part of the point of a SAN; to an end-user it practically looks and behaves as if it were a local device ? No, the point of a SAN is for performance, redundancy, and flexibility, growth and sharing. End users wouldn't even be seeing local devices because you shouldn't have end users plugged into a SAN. If you meant sysadmin's, then yes, it would essentially look like a local device.
Anyway, like cymru_slam implied, this article is just FUD.
Is that at Bucknell University? What are you going to do when you get kicked out for doing stupid shit at college, then posting it on a site your IT people probably read?
In any case, you are still paying $2.35, it is just the $200 is hidden in your utility bill and is spread out over forever. By that logic I'm still saving since I did buy them. I'd be paying that "hidden" fee anyway, but now I'm saving money not only on the bulbs but on my energy usage.
In Western Washington you can regularly buy these CFL's for ~ $.35 The power companies out here offer $2 off coupons which you can re-use over and over. I literally have cases of these in my garage.
Anyway, this is good for Walmart and the environment. Maybe Walmart is figuring if people save money on electric bills they will have more money to buy their wares.
Some choose to capitalize on it - http://www.speakeasy.net/netshare/learnmore/

There is a compatibility pack for Office 2000, Office XP, and Office 2003. Maybe they should research that!

Ditto, I'm a big fan of DBAN. Very convenient for wiping multiple disks before eBaying them!
Pro will see 2 dual core's as 4 proc's and work just fine. In case anyone was wondering!
You don't "need" a $400 video card for any game. But it's sure as hell better to have one! (or 2 nowadays!)
Of course EMC would have been a much better buy. But first they'd have to be "for sale" and second, it'd cost about 10x more.
disclaimer: I could be wrong about the 10x part, just going off Yahoo finance! (http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=EMC vs http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=STK)
