Actually, what I really think Apple should do is replace the lollipop/beachball "oh, I've run out of system resources *again*" indicator to something that at least has some useful information. It's kind of dumb otherwise.
The spinning beach ball does not mean I've run out of system resources. A detailed explanation can be found here. It just means that a single application is having problems (e.g. it could be caught in an infinite loop).
News Corp is the parent of both Fox and MySpace. Since MySpace already uses video technology akin to YouTube, it's a good bet that this new site might use a derivative of the MySpace video features. If they do go with the MySpace stuff, they'll have a lot of debugging to do;)
much of the OS is written in unsafe languages (particularly C, C++, and, perhaps, Objective C - I don't know if the last is unsafe)
I suppose you'd prefer an OS written in Java or Haskell? C is THE language for kernel development. What the hell do you think Linux and BSD where written in?
The hat switch and 2 of the buttons could be eliminated. All my mom needs a regular telephone keypad (0-9, #, *), a power switch, and a single pickup/hangup button.
What about the relative positions of the particles at the other end? Even if the copy's particles are coerced into taking on the same spins as the original object's particles, we still need the copy's particles to be arranged in the same manner as those of the original object. Otherwise, transporting a human would give you a pile of mush (like in Star Trek: The Motion Picture).
I think you hit the nail on the head. Fan noise is a no-no for iMacs, so although a 7950 GT would be wicked performance-wise, its far too noisy for an iMac.

My personal preference is to use Command-DownArrow. Also, in the Finder, use Command-UpArrow to navigate up a directory.
So rename using your keyboard: hit ENTER to begin renaming file.
Please write my essay for me. :p
I've been running VLC 0.8.6 (on OS X) for just under an hour, and it's only crashed 3 times so far!
Have a little patience! Many mainframes take several minutes to boot up. We had this one AIX machine at work that took 20 minutes to boot!
He's member of Apple's AppKit team (i.e. he develops both the AppKit and Foundation frameworks).

What would be your language(s) of choice?
I guess the old adage is true after all.

If you're interested, Dan Bricklin was interviewed on NerdTV back in November of 2005. See episode #10.
I've give you mod points if I had them.

Both Apple and Google peaked around January. Since then, their stock prices remained fairly level... though Apple's has been a bit volatile.
Once I become a home-owning geek, I intend to. But for now, I'm just a student.
I hope Apple is next to follow in your footsteps.
I have my fans set to spin at a minimum of 3000 RPM and I still don't hear the fans spinning.
Get your hearing checked. Seriously.
Why not make the files public domain? Is making them GPL really necessary?

Me too. For example, my sister is running a 7 YEAR OLD iMac!
I wonder if Jonathan Ive will be entering the contest.
I think you mean /etc/profile
like this one. It works with HDTV!
