Nooooooooo! I am taking a black and white photo class this spring! Gah! Guess I'll use a different brand paper then.
Anyway, I am not sure if it was mentioned, but good B&W photos tend to be better composed than color, just because the colors can't carry the picture in B&W.
It always upsets me when the FBI comes up with some krazy number like that. How did he cause 1 billion in damages? Did his poking around the system terrify them so much that they spent $1 billion just to find him?
Did the sysadmin wet his pants when he saw that the server was compromised, causing him to get therepy for a total of $1 billion? That must have been some expensive shrink!
Or did he just scream "Intruder!" at the top of his lungs, beg his boss to scramble the jets and cause everyone to panic?
Or are they ticked off because his activities caused them to miss their soap opera?
Or, maybe the panicking sysadmin turned the power off in the entire building to thwart the attack (no power - no network) causing $1 billion in ice cream to go bad.
That is so rediculous! If they want to charge him for time that he caused him to wasted, at most, it would be a few million, but one billion!
Thats really neat! perhaps he can make one more modification to it. Make it so he can use it with any wifi router and then he can make calls from anywhere in the city where there is free wifi! It's almost be like a cell phone, only free.
the real problem, if you really think about it, is that people are too apathetic to do anything about this or other issues.
Besides: Its not even all Bush's fault. He did put a democrat in charge of of Transportation. Nevermind, I guess you can blame him for that.
The more people that don't stand up, the worse off we are. You can sit there and say, "Oh, its all 's fault. If he and his stupid supporters were not around, things would be better." It would be better, however, if everyone did something about it.
I can see all the citizens being convinced that this trash is good for them.
I can see several people I know telling me:
"But its for safety. We must do it!"
Does anyone notice that these changes are incremental? They are forcing us to do things a little bit at a time, for "safety"reasons. If we allow this, it may not be much longer before we have people being stripped down naked. A person being told to do so may think, "well, they already saw me naked. Might as well."
And then from there, we will get full cavity searches.
But then a real terroist will figure a way around it all, and laugh as he passes all the naked citizens on his way to blow up their airplane and restrict their freedoms even more.
The things we do for safety.
That sounds like a good idea. However, it may be like asking the average citizen to spot counterfiet money. And after a few times of being asked to compere images, the user may get annoyed and every time afterward, they will just confirm everything to get done quickly.
Thats great. I feel the same way. Windows XP is too slow on it (700mhz) and I can't get all the hardware running with Linux. I want something that just works -- I'll probably choose a mac next time.
Its funny though, never thought someone would be that angry about it
Nokia said that open source needed a framework of certainty. I'd have to agree with this... If everyone was uncertain about the future of opensource with regard to patents, people may shy away from it. This has not deterred open source software's growth, but it is an area of concern. With Nokia allowing oss developers to all their patents freely, one piece of the framework is set, which is great news!
Ahhh! I spent soo much time trying to get grub to do that. Now I know lilo does; ill probly install that to my laptop next time.

Well, its a good thing that that the IBM PPC processors don't have built in DRM Go Apple! :)

The lifedrive is also slow because of the hard drive
