That's the funniest thing I've read in awhile. I wasn't a fan of Clinton when he was the President, but am more now with all the charity he's doing. And it's always a pleasure to watch ANY media get punked.
Someone is doing something. But our problem is we rely so much on fossil fuels that large industries are built around it (automotive, gas stations, refineries). Even though fossil fuels may be deemed as evil the working guy/gal at these places would probably like to remain employed.
Moving away from fossil fuels may be for the greater good but we can't forget about the side effects that will have.
That's because most Government regulation is only good for restricting freedoms and increasing profit margins of large corporations by screwing Joe Six-pack (that poor guy). This regulation, in turn would solidify the freedom we currently enjoy while helping out poor Joe.
I have installed Gentoo many times tweaking my install and learning more each time. As many comments before, if you follow the directions it's a breeze. You only have to install it once and it can always be up to date.
I have created my own install guide where I can do a stage 3 install from the minimal CD in about 30 minutes. My server doesn't require X so I can have that up with bind, dhcp, apache, mysql, php, squid, vsftpd, ntp, and a couple other odds and ends in about 2 hours with minor tweak and peaks. I have my install notes available on.odt so if anyone wants a copy e-mail me. Also, it's a breeze to save your configuration with a cron job.
#!/bin/bash
tar -cvjpf/bkup.tar.bz2 etc/ var/ boot/ usr/src/linux/.config
When I install, I just copy the old files back over and it's usually pretty good to go.
That's a great after thought but if it was a prerequisite, it would filter out most of the bogus information in the first place. Wiki is a great tool but it is not accepted as a resource (personal experience) because there is no trail of resources therefore defeating it as the great Internet encyclopedia it should be.
Wiki is a nice, centered information solution. The biggest problem I see for articles that aren't instructional is a lack of references. Some writers to a good job, but it seems that articles of fact should cite where those facts come from. After all, it's not Slashdot...
I can't image there isn't some system like this on a larger scale. If not, I'm sure it could be easily designed. The system would take up more room and require more maintenance that a CD case.
So wouldn't burning it, ripping and stripping it, and re-burning it do the same thing, just an additional step? Heck, one could mount the image and rip away without wasting a disc. It is based on the system to work with current DVD players. But then again, I tend to oversimplify things...
Did we finally get a message through that the majority of us aren't criminals? It's nice to see at least part of the entertainment industry keeping up with the times. Does anyone know the pricing for these movie downloads before I get too far ahead of myself?
Other drawbacks is the 911 for some areas. Lucky me, I got my same # from SBC and I only had to sign up to list my address. I don't have the older systems that might cause issues. If I have to call 911, I'm good to go.
Another downfall that I keep hearing about is the loss of power. All of my essential equipment are on UPS for just such a scenario. In order to sell it to my wife, I had to make sure all bases were covered.
I should kick myself for replying to an AC but I've got nothing better to do at the moment. First, I do have Vonage, I use Comcast for the high speed Internet and cable. I have the phone hooked all through my house, no single base for me. It works great. I used to have issues when I was downloading isos but that was fixed with a little iptables and QoS magic. So I'm saving $10 and getting a better service than Comcast would provide for all three. Comcast by my house does not do bundle deals. I've called and asked.
Because Comcast already costs me $70, Vonage adds $25 whereas Comcast will add $35 if I chose their service. $10 is a lot for a cheap bastard like me. From overall look (believe me, I'm a cheap bastard, I've ran the figures), I've got a better deal with Comcast analog cable, Internet and Vonage for phone.
As for the IPO, it isn't affecting me (yet...), I'm paying the same amount now that I was 2 years ago, which is more than I can say when I had SBC or Verizon when I was in Virginia.

It's like token right... except friendlier...
Kickbacks to hardware companies? A sale on a new computer will net more cash than an upgrade? P*ss poor programming?
Is that under 120 characters because that is pretty good!

Gnome vs. KDE?

I apologize ahead of time... In United States, Linux runs Dillo!

Thank you, that's the funniest thing I've seen in awhile...
Works for Gentoo... but I suppose the version number is added after it's released...
"First Post"?

What does the cost of a service have to do with investments of a company that provides the service?

...but at least Vonage is still cheaper than Comcast or AT&T
I would rather they move to this than IPv6. But then again try and get OpenOffice on NMCI's approved software list...
Solaris, MySQL...
Did you mean, "Vista is done when Adobe Acrobat won't run"...
Maybe that's what's taking so long...
