Advertising isn't bad when it's something you're interested in and not "click the monkey" in your face flash (love flashblock). I don't block Google's ads (love adblock) simply because they're not obtrusive.
The only time an ad was so bad that I have never returned to the site was when I was visiting a so-called Linux Site and the entire right margin is a Microsoft ad. Talk about skewed advertising.
I just think it's funny to assume that Elected, sitting in the House or Senate Democrats are paid by corporations. While it may be true that part of an elected official's salary is paid by corporations through taxes, don't I also pay elected officials? Oh, we're talking about hush hush <wink/> <wink/> type stuff, huh?
...someone pulled out their copy of Real Genius and thought, "Hey, if someone else thinks of this movie and puts a laser in a satellite to snipe us, we should pre-emptively strike with a laser that shoots their satellites!".
Not a dupe, a continuation. You took all the time to search for the story but you didn't bother to read it. The first story was about the proposal. This story is about the enactment. The only dupes here are the comments about this story being a dupe.
Depending on what version you choose, it will more than likely automatically detect Windows. Ubuntu is quite popular for novices and Fedora is also good. If for some odd reason the version just doesn't happen to detect Windows do this:
Open a terminal as root or su into root
cd/boot/grub
Use your favorite editor (`nano`|`pico`|`kate`|`gedit`) grub.conf
add the following lines
title Windows
rootnoverify (hd0,0) <~~ look at your current grub.conf to find out exactly this should be
chainloader +1

This might actually restrict mail you don't want whereas AOL will allow anyone who gives them money to spam your mailbox. Pretty much if you report nuisance mail they should stop the flow with filters. AOL doesn't care what you want unless you're willing to pay more than the business that wants past AOL's filters.
Funny, one of the word of the day phrases on Google today is "The chief obstacle to the progress of the human race is the human race." - Don Marquis.
It ties in that Blizzard will stifle any competition because it only wants itself to make money. Maybe Blizzard wants to release its own Game Guide. I, for one, hope Blizzard loses or else this may set precedent for others to sue publishers for producing Game Guides.
I'm having flashbacks now... but seriously, was there an objective to that game, different levels?? I have no clue other than spending hours going to class, punching angelface, boy wonder, and einstein and getting others lines...
Is the PS3 backward compatible with the 2 and 1? You can get some of those from places like Game Stop for around $10.
...Are we paying attention?? You can make millions and make your customers happy without gouging your customers.

They chose speed with the system... and according to the the Arstechnica article, precision isn't a priority either. So I think he'll opt for C, the open ended option that wasn't in the prepared speech.
It's amazing that there was a whole day of down time just to add text messaging.
Mod Up, very informative.

which came from Lucent which came from AT&T Technologies which came from Western Electric which came from AT&T. So we're both right.
My guess is most of those losses will be on the US side of the merger.
Soooooooo will they rename themselves Western Electric and merge with AT&T?

So that's why Microsoft is now making Anti-Virus...
*ducks*
And yet Nintendo has escaped lawsuit? I remember way back when getting the bulky rumble pak for the N64. Prior Art?
