    Chapter 11 is not genreallly about giving away what you have. A liquidating 11 is about selling off what you have to maintain your main business core. There is nowhere to go if you have no revenue. One lives or dies by cash flow....

    TO all of you engineers out there who think engines of consumer cars run at 90% efficiency. Think again. If that were true then there would be no modifications necessary to race them, or the difference between a race engine and a production engine would be less than 10%. A mass produced engine can be made to run more efficiently by increasing 02 intake, injecting water, increasing exhaust flow, ingnition timing and power.... on and on. The standard consumer car is not the height of efficiency, it is the best compromise between efficiency and reliability.

    How many of you remember, as I do, the early eighties, when we were hearing about the coming ice age? Now it's global warming. I would love to just smack the hell out of the people who come up with these studies. We do not have accurate data on past tempuratures, and we are talkind geological time, ie. human life span pales... I'm sick of it, and I rejct your reality, and insert my own.

    I work in a small law firm, two attorneys, three when I take the bar. We have done the same thing as you, I have switched our office to Firefox, Thunderbird, and we are migrating to Sun Star Office (old Wordperfect files make OpenOffice impracticle). We practice mainly bankruptcy so we have a proprietary software package for putting together the federal forms(it does run in Wine, though the programers didn't believe me). The only thing I can see that we are missing is case management software, that is basically just a database with a nice front end. What are you looking to do?

    smallest leg to stand on with these allegations SCO is toast. If the court freezes SCO's assets, up to at least 95% of the contracts with WS and Sun, there will be no money left to pay SCO's lawyers. BTW from another article, NOvell my have the right to dismiss SCO's suits agaist IBM and others, since they actually own the rights to the System V code.
