What I'd really like Microsoft to do for XP (and other versions of Windows) is when the product reaches end of life, create a new installation medium which includes all the updates. If anyone wants to do legacy installations of the OS in future for special purposes, that could be quite handy.
That sort of hurts if you have a big collection of files in sequenced formats, such as NSF, MIDI, or MOD.
Who will write the plugins for all those exotic formats anyway? There might not exist a reasonable business case to support that kind of niche formats.
Storage is cheap, just convert everything to MP3, that's my practical recommendation.
You are absolutely right. That is exactly why these "good/bad" Windows lists work. A release can be conveniently forgotten from the list. Also what is good and what is bad can be stretched too.
This. Even if Win8 comes with the funky UI, I'm still mostly happy with the quality of software Microsoft puts out these days. In the past their stuff was unstable, bloated, and had major security problems. These serious problems have now been fixed for the most part.
Cool story bro. However I have completely stopped consuming caffeine. I have noticed that even a cup or two of coffee rather early at day, do have some effect on my sleep. Maybe I have become somehow super sensitive to the effects of caffeine (I do not feel much buzz anymore though). But then again, when you look at the half-life of caffeine, it is something like 5+ hours depending on the person. This would suggest that it takes over a whole day for the caffeine to completely be metabolized, no matter what.
He just wanted to know the revenue model. Even the concept of car has been working for over 100 years and still people ask the question "how does a car work?".
I cancel that comment. If you read the line "He says the police have not contacted him and that he only learned he’d been reported to the police from the journalist who wrote the story for The Age." carefully, you can see that he only heard from the reporter that the kid had been reported to the police (by TD). D'oh!

Actually all those things have seen massive improvements in Windows 6.x.
It's an old picture and some of the hardware has been replaced.
Then they should provide a newer picture!
It would be better to make that an infinite shell loop instead of using "watch". And in Wget, instead of "--delete-after" use "-O /dev/null".

That works exactly because they have an army of properly paid engineers developing Chrome OS.
Mod parent up.

Sure. They were garbage software in the past, but these days quite good.
I would be happy if Internet Explorer and Media Player got their title bar text back.
Proper high-DPI support would be quite important.
Obligatory...
I assume that means that you've cut out caffeine from other sources as well? (Soft drinks, teas, various foods.)
Sure.
You also made a typo "orginal" which would suggest that you need a cup to be able to type properly.

That is true. Here is one case: YLE: Authorities try to track source of mysterious polio virus in Tampere.
These are fantastic news!
even my brand new Panasonic smart rice cooker is a PC
Interesting! What kind of PC? Do you know which OS it runs?
4GB should be enough for all games.
I guess he was dreaming about opening Plex directly from Steam for best integration.

Agree 100%, I have 3x 27" 2560 x 1440 (combined resolution 7680 x 4320)
You accidentally multiplied the vertical resolution too.
