I have seen polish tv stations with satellite tv and I can confirm what is sad here, there is a one guy how dubs all the movies, problay tv shows too. This is also the reason why I never watch polish tv stations.
My soon to be one year old SonyEricsson phone supports GPRS/EDGE and GSM 850/900/1800/1900 (but not 3G, it was a cheap phone), it also has bluetooth, but not wireless, it also can play music and supports memory card. So if the Euro version of the iPhone supports only 900/1800 and only has GPRS and no EDGE. Just bluetooth and Wireless as a extra. Then the iPhone is still at least one year behind the newest models on the GSM market.
In my opinion the apple iphone is low tech. If I can use the U.S type as anything to work with. It only works on 850/1900 bands, only has GPRS, bluetooth and wireless. New SonyEricsson/Nokia/"Insert your brand here" phones are UMTS+GSM/850/900/1800/1900 GPRS/EDGE, they also have bluetooth, Wireless and are able to play music.

I find it more then possible that something like that did happen in the fossil area that you are studying, given that it has similar fault lines in the rock. But that is just my speculation and nothing more.
I did try to find information on the the royal center fault, but I didn't find any information on it.
I have seen swamps that have tree remains in them here in Iceland (~10.000 years old?), in a area that once was a dry land but was a swamp later on and until it was dried up by farmers. The land is always changeing, and it is no different in Iceland then in the U.S.
300 million years is a long time for things to change in the rock. Have you seen any notable deformation in the rock of the area ? Like bend rocks, remains of hot springs and so on. I also wonder if any animal remains have been found, besides sea scorpions. But there is a good chance that nothing more had evolved during the time the forest got under mud and changed into fossils.

As a amature in recording earthquakes and monitoring volcanoes. I was wondering if it is known if the fault line that did cose the forest to sink was on a subduction zone or other type of fault line. Since the only incidents that I know of ground falling or rising is when the plate slips and create a earthquake. Given recent examples (Solomon Islands, Sumatra and so on), I would think that the earthquake that did sink the the forest 300 million years ago must have been around mag 7.0 to 8.? on the richter scale.
I did try to find a map with outlines of the continental plates 300 million years ago, but didn't find any. So I don't know where the this forest was actually located 300 million years ago. But I have a great interest in seeing where the continentals where located during this time.

Creating black holes, even the smallest one in the universe is a bad, bad idea. Since even a small black hole carries more weight then our planet and the moon combined. It is simple to draw that conclusion from the fact that black holes are nothing more then a matter that has gone so heavy that is pulls everything into it. It also takes a black holes billion and billions of years to vanish, a microscopic one might take millions if years to vanish. But there wouldn't be anything left of the solar system by that time, and the black hole would have grown in that time.
This is just my humble opinion on this. In short, it's stupid and that is a dangerous mix.

In the pharmaceutical the status now is that if the drug companies don't make profit from it (patient expired) they often have little interest in making that drug.
