Not sure where you got that, but it was Maryland's Court of Special Appeals; Maryland's second highest court. Its decision is binding on the entire state.

The decision is not binding beyond that specific case, and it can be overturned in supreme court so it's nothing to take to the bank.

Only the supreme court can establish a new interpretation of the state's constitution. This case so far is merely an anecdote, like saying "my mom thinks that...", it doesn't have any impact on the daily life of cellphone users.

The KKK was founded by Democrats and the membership remained mostly Democrats for a long time after the Republicans fought slavery. And there's plenty of racism in the history of the Democratic party after that, such as Woodrow Wilson who segregated the military and federal employees (which was undone by a Republican, Eisenhower).

Associating the KKK to Republicans to paint a racist picture of the GOP is dishonest and lazy.

Horoscopes are always recycled. Otherwise how would they ever get it right?

Horoscopes are always right. If the one you read doesn't seem to apply that day, it's because your ascendant is more potent so you need a customized chart to understand how it applies to you. The problem could also be that your Chinese sign is confusing things, especially if your elemental aspect (Fire, Earth, Air and Water) in both traditions don't match. The celestial forces are complex and mysterious, only a certified astrologist can decipher your destiny.

Also, horoscopes are based on recurring astronomical events. Until there's a new planet or star significant enough to impact people's destiny, there will be a limited pool of possibilities; how those events are interpreted to individually reach the millions of people who have the same signs requires the expertise of a certified astrologist.

One last point: did you know that on the Yahoo portal, the horoscope is found in the Women section? How sexist is that?

Yeah that cyber pathogens thing is ridiculous. But there's people being ridiculous on both sides of this issue, such as Apple who refuse to unlock a dead terrorist phone while giving the keys to the castle to the Chinese government so they can spy on their (alive) citizens.

Law is not a simple yes/no thing. There's ample leeway to do this unlock thing correctly without the event becoming a trigger to extensive phone spying by the FBI. Apple is not fighting them for privacy, they're just milking this for marketing purpose; they've already shown that they have no problem whatsoever helping foreign governments spy on their customers, who besides fanbois will ever believe that suddenly they believe in protecting their customers? Total bullshit.

Good managers get promoted quickly to more senior roles because there's constant growth and new projects; this means that what's left in middle management ris mediocre lifers or total noobs who haven't shown their potential yet. It's a dead layer with zero potential for improvement unless the company goes stale like IBM. Promoting insiders to middle management doesn't fill the void, it accelerates the spiral.
