    So false it hurts.

Why have 0 ISPs been charged with child pornography and copyright infringement? Same reason regular Telcos are not charged when a mobster uses the phone to call in a hit.

    they are not terrorists.

the revolutionary army in the US about 200 some odd years ago were insurgents. the French have had a ton of insurgent groups over the years. those who vote for hillary are insurgents.

The only items you've pointed out that is unrealistic is the condoms and port checking analogy. The rest are what you get when you're an ass. If you leave your keys in the car and it gets stolen in most states, YOU get a ticket as well as the person who is arrested for auto theft. If you're a moron, you get what you deserve. It's not hard to lock your house or car, get regular maintenance on your car, or not click links in email you didn't know you were getting.

There have been multiple worms for SQL Server and IIS. I remember looking at my Apache logs and seeing these going. HAHA! I run apache. Not to say Apache hasn't had worms, but the flaw was fixed very fast and in the open. Remember when Windows Update servers were infected? Who knows how many holes are in IIS still that just haven't been found and how many were fixed quietly and thus never reported. Better security for a "newb" is better security for everyone. As for "rock solid" windows servers, this must be a new thing, I remember the days of weekly maintenance reboots.

"Why do they accept being treated like criminals? Why do they accept being treated like nothing more than shit?"

Don't know if you're in the US, but it's commonplace here now. For example, if you have a head cold and want some plain old Sudafed, you are treated as a possible criminal and have your license scanned or number tracked on paper and you have to sign for it.

Actually, I tend to feel like I'm being treated like a criminal unless I've been robbed.
