It is a little disingenuous to call Arlen "Magic Bullet" Specter a Republican.

How the hell is this news? Seems more like baseless prophecies from some OSS advocate who can't comprehend why companies want credit for their inventions. Maybe I will make a speech called "Microsoft in 30 years will be bought by a Linux company" and get my bull shit slashdotted also, yes it could happen but I have no way to back it up and I would just be talking out of my ass.

  6. Re:Colin Powell!? on Review: Battlefield 2 · · Score: 1

Look its your typical liberal blinded by his ignorance. Now a good reply to the Colin Powell comment would to point out that Colin Powell did not lead our armies. Rumsfeld or Bush would have been better if looking for a member of the administration but still no on the same level as the BF2 commander. But do not fret; I expect very little more intellect out of you.

  7. read: end liberalism on Improving Education? · · Score: 1

The school system needs to remove its self distractions and become a school. Other activities sponsored by schools such as sports and music should be put under control of another agency such as the park service. If these activities were based on areas and no on school districts you would have less conflicts of interested such as a student being passed through simply because the teach enjoys that hobby. Schools need to expect more responsibility out of their students and expect the same performance out of all students no matter what their social and economic status is. We should push so that students who live in areas that have schools filled with misbehaving and unguided children and move to suburban schools. This will allow students with drive to get out of their current environment and in to a better one. Instead of segregating schools based on your class.

Who ever marked this post as "funny" needs to change it to "ignorant" or maybe "blinded by bias caused by hype and a need to fit in with other nerds" I mean seriously, how can you be this stupid? If Windows had no value then you wouldn't need it at all. And because we live in a "market economy" as you so pointed out the price of windows is dictated by the demand from the consumer. If Windows had no value no one would buy it and if no one bought it Microsoft would go out of business. Who is the richest man in the US again? Remind me. You are the same as those fools who try to convince them selves that downloading pirated music should be legal.
