Don't forget that hydrazine is also used in TFT LCD panels (laptops and flat-panel monitors which I'm sure many Slashdotters have)

Yep, MS will reliably crash your entire machine (instead of just the errant process) whenever you are predictably hacked.

Sounds like a game-winning plan to me!

  3. Re:HOld up... on What Xbox Games Will Be Backwards Compatible? · · Score: 1

It shouldn't be too difficult for MS: 1) They already have experience with the PPC (Windows NT was available for the PPC) 2) The XBox was based on Windows (albeit stripped of much of the core) 3) One of the selling points to developers was that it would be easy to port Windows games to the XBox and vice-versa indicating support for DirectX (and thus hardware abstraction) I think MS is just holding its cards close. They may be evil, but they do learn from other's mistakes (usually). I think the 360 will run all of the games, but some may have a tweaked executable available to take advantage of the new hardware.

The movie "Sliver" was more pornography than this mod. "Sliver" is rated R not NC-17. The game was effectively rated R and even with the mod(s) still does not have worse content than a R-rated movie.

It looks like it has the same feel as TA. Hopefully some of the same strategies will work. In the original you could hide a construction unit in the middle of nowhere and in the event your base is wiped off the map, you could eventually rebuild your whole base with enough time.

Chapters are dupes, but the later chapters also have paragraphs pointing out that it is a duped chapter.
