The ultimate energy source in our solar system is the sun. Everything comes from that. We're just living on "borrowed" energy right now, burning up millions of years' worth solar energy stored in the form of chemicals.
All energy* on earth comes from the Sun, not just chemical energy stored in oil and such. All but one of those energy sources you listed are all dependent on on solar energy, and even that last one comes from the relative motion of the sun. If the Sun didn't heat the air making it rise, cool air would blow in and be wind, if the Sun didn't heat and evaporate water, there wouldn't be rivers to dam. The only source of energy you listed that would work is the wave motion, but it would be greatly diminished because the Sun's gravitational pull is also a big player in tides.
*There's geothermal vents too, but there aren't many and most of them are in inconvenient places like the Marianas Trench.

Seriously, this is basically how all successful exploration has proceeded in the past.
And there I was thinking that all space projects up till this has proceeded because of the desire to show up commies and the commie's desire to do the same to us. Glad you straightened that out for me...
Buying a bandage is a preventative measure, a tow is not. When your car breaks down you can pay for a tow, when about to die from blood loss, you can't just saunter on down to the drug store and buy some bandages.
Who says the GPS device needs to be going the same speed as my car? How are they going to ensure that I didn't leave my GPS device in my garage while I take out my minivan for a street race?
The idea is that the GPS device knows what kind of road your on and sets the governor in the car accordingly. If you leave the GPS device in the car while you race, the GPS will think your on a suburban street and limit you to 30 mph.
A better solution would be to put the GPS device in a faraday cage with a transmitter telling it that it is on an Interstate with a high speed limit. Of course, if the device phones home, the cops will be curious to why you spend 24 hours a day on the same stretch of Nevada Interstate...
Also, watch this post be modded down promptly as a troll, which should tell you something of the power of long entrenched religions.
Considering that you haven't been modded down, your point about the influence of long entrenched religions is false, meaning that your are not worthy of your high moderation and summarily should be modded down, thus validating your point which would then require you to be modded up, because the validity of your point is proven. But by being modded up your point is disproved meaning... something.

He has a 4 digit uid, you should be more respectful of his awesomeness...
How could it be easier?
By only having to run one installer?
