    For example, in the Internet Search segment, Google has a better ranking than Bing even though Google is more well known than Bing.

    Not a hard and fast rule, but Bing is part of Microsoft. I doubt if so many people would hate it if it were independent

    The whole hype that laptops must weigh next to nothing is silly. If the laptop is your mobile office, and if it is important for work, then 4.5 kg is a tiny amount.

    For some people it might make sense... but for a lot of people wouldn't it be better to carry a single screen laptop and carry an extra monitor for the times you actually need it?

    Microkernels do have their merits, but as the benchmarks show, the Linux kernel (which can be as micro- or macrokernel as you wish) outpaces Mach, for the simple reason that Linux eliminates many overheads existing in other kernels.

    Its possible that microkernels will have the last laugh, I have tread that they scale better when you have a huge number of cores on a processor (256+)

    How do you know Neanderthals were genetically inferior?

    Maybe because there's not too many of them around anymore. Or maybe they were just completely assimilated

    Well the Neanderthals had larger brains. The Sapiens had developed more abstract thinking. Perhaps this explains why non Africans have larger brains and higher average IQs

    I thought it was "homo sapiens and homo neanderthalensis miscegenated and the latter genes still exist in humans" in January.

    Now it's "if you aren't 100% African, you're part Neanderthal."

    Can someone please explain how. I mean they are both homos right?

    Sure, I guess a psychic could divine a working MAC address.

    Or a non-psychic could simply look for one that is currently used and being accepted. Ideally you would monitor for a while and find one that is switched off, but it seems to work (with a high error rate) if you spoof an existing MAC address even when its active.
