    I wonder whether Universities will eventually become administrative hubs for online courses, with on-site work mostly limited to research level students. On one hand this would be great for affordability, but on the other the brighter undergrads who would have picked up much more than the course from the research students will be limited to the syllabus

    I've always wondered, why not just 0%? Why allow someone to knowingly decrease their ability to drive?

    Many countries have a nominal 0 limit, but in practice have to allow very small measures. There is a small amount of alcohol in bread, cheese, ripe fruit, and many other things.

    They don't want to go to court, though, they just want the money. They're betting that people would rather pay the go-away fee than risk being outed as a porn watcher to their neighbours. After all, even if you're innocent, the court case would cost you a fair bit of time and money, and the neighbours will have different standards of proof than a court.

    But you have a piece of paper saying that it could have been them!

    So you just say it must have been a neighbour or visitor, ask them to add all the visitors to neighbours' houses, the post man, delivery men, etc. and let them get on with it. If they go to court quote their own words - it could have been any of these!

    Saudi Arabia is a dictatorship, they rule by an army inducing terror on a populace, not because the populace chose the leadership.

    The problem is that in Muslim countries the political system they chose is invariably worse. Libya is worse than it was under Gaddafi, Egypt is worse now than under Mubarak, Iraq is worse than under Saddam Husain, and Afghanistan is infinitely worse off than it was under Soviet rule.

    Yes, Saudi Arabia is bad, but anything that keeps the Muslims under control is better than letting them have their way .... which is not giving them freedom but allowing them to murder, kill, and rape others as well as killing eachother and removing freedoms under sectarian Sharia militias.

    We have lots of Muslims in the UK, a large number of whom say they would like to overthrow democracy and introduce Sharia law. Following them is a positively good idea.

    No. You should never be monitoring people for believing something or subscribing to an ideology. All you should be worried about is whether or not the law is being broken or not. There is nothing wrong with saying "I want this country to be under Sharia Law and will work to make it happen" as long as the methods you use are Legal. The government should only care when the methods are illegal in nature, the goal itself (communism, democracy, islam, etc.) is irrelevant.

    If there were a reasonable probability that they would act within the law then I would agree. The thing is they say that they do not recognize Western laws.

    Actually I think it is a two-dimensional situation, as illustrated by Political Compass. Though I don't know how accurate their assessments of the individuals is, I think the principle that either left or right wing politicians can be authoritarian is true.

    BTW I do not consider myself to be authoritarian in general, its just that the expressed intention of Muslims to undermine our societies necessitates extraordinary measures. The freedoms of non-muslims should be protected as far as possible when a hostile group has declared war on us.
