You guys are serious tools. You're not even required to get the update, and nobody with a pirated copy of XP has automatic update on anyways. Even if this was as serious as you people would like to make it out to be, you're using warez for christ sakes, Microsoft has every right. It BAFFLED me how stupid some of you are.
How is Microsoft handling responsibility for Windows running on Apple hardware? If they support it then Apple is in a position to make Windows look bad in a side by side comparison by sabotaging the driver support. It seems like Microsoft is going to have to try to make it abundantly clear that any issues with Windows running on Apple hardware is an Apple problem.
I wonder when Apple will become a convicted monopoly. Some iTunes alternative is going to go all netscape on Apple, and the simplicity of i* that you all love is going to be a thing of the past. Before you bury my post, I really hope it doesn't happen. If it did happen though, Apple would likely lose, considering the precedent. Then again, Apple doesn't have as much money as Microsoft did and probably never will, so they might not be as attractive a target.
These proposed changes have extremely little to do with IE and even less (nothing) to do with.NET. I know you guys are very proud of your internet broswers but how does crap like this get modded up?
Where can I turn for a free OS? Obviously anything with Linux in the title out.
I checked out FreeOS [freeos.com] but most of their stuff is Linux or some very arcane OS.
I'm fast running out of hope. Where can I turn now?
Slackware, Debian, Gentoo, Ubuntu, Suse, Fedora, or any of the other of thousands of distros without linux in the name? That even assuming the ones with linux actually in their name decided to pass the (minimal) cost on to their users.
That's not blizzard's problem, or rather it's not blizzards updater's problem, you just said as much. Is there an actual issue with blizzard's updater or are you just being sensational?
