Nope- Slashdot RSS works fine for me. Just have to pass it through another site (I personally use Livedoor Reader, but any other web-based RSS reader works, as does Opera Mini on my cellphone).
Well... I think it would be pretty high-profile if they did that, depending on who they threw in jail. If it was Steve Jobs in Shanghai demonstrating RSS feeds on Safari or whatever I wouldn't care, though.
If you were a Burmese citizen on the wrong side of those with power, would you say the same things of the other countries? If you still would, then bravo to you- unwavering views no matter what the cost.
It is certainly ancient by Asian terms, but hey, it's still on the market (not kidding; here in China it's still selling as a Series 60 phone for those who don't feel like paying an assload for a newer model), so I feel that it can be considered current as well.
as opposed to the iPhone, where you have exploit a bug just to get software onto the phone? And I think I've run plenty of non-signed software on Series 60 phones before- the only phones that didn't allow it were all Japan-model Nokias (and that's because Softbank/Vodafone and DoCoMo require signing, not Nokia).
really? I used to have a 6670, and managed to install a file explorer with full access to the internal memory (messed it up good too that way too; lesson learned- never fool around with files you don't understand).
Please not Chinese. As a native speaker, I have to say that there are natural barriers to that happening. Accents for one- Chinese+semi-heavy German accent=something beyond the comprehension of any normal Chinese speaker.
Yep- one from CECT (which improves on the original by offering removable battery and dual-SIM with automatic switching so that you can take calls from either SIM without manually selecting the SIM) and another upcoming from Meizu.
That's why I buy Japanese- my Toshiba cellphone is made in Japan, and so is my Panasonic laptop (wonder why they cost so much? That's because they're made in Japan).
I'm an ethnically Chinese American, and i have to say- is America any better? People still remain blind enough that they keep voting Democrat or Republican even when both parties are now essentially the same thing with a few minor differences. The Iraq war- not going to go there, but Bush's reelection could have easily been avoided by people that hate him and Kerry if they had voted for a third party. Enough people doing that could have brought a third party into power instead of having the two-party system we see in America now.
...voting for someone BECAUSE they are incompetent? Now that's just dumb. And before you go into the whole "Kerry is worse" issue- remember that just because third parties don't get a lot of media coverage doesn't mean that they're not there. You could easily have voted for one of them.
Willcom's an upstart? I thought that they were around for a long time (called something else before... DDI Pocket?) but don't have the same market presence because their phones don't have as good of a feature set.

Yep- for me, that means using Opera Mini inztead of a standard browser.
OUh huh... I'd like to see that in action.
Funny! I shouldn't have used my mod points on another article...

Out of curiosity, does it need a Nokia phone to work or not? If not, I'd get one too.

Like how my local Tesco advertises "Vegetables fruit are being cheaper"? I mean geez- the British invented English, and they still screw it up!
There actually was such a thing, at one time. It was Japan-only, though. Look up "Mobile GB adapter".
No, I'd say the same thing whether it was Apple or not.
Is unlocking your phone without bricking it with future updates worth it to you? Certainly is to me.

Or it gets the same amount of stuff done, but with dumber outcomes. Not fun.

off-topic, but I can see the iPod factory from my school classroom window in Shanghai (at least, all my classmates tell me that).
Yep- that's why I buy Panasonic and Sharp. All their manufacturing is in Japan.

Yep. It's everything I wished the US was.
