It's a good lesson: never go to ground in a fight. "Ground and pound" fails when it's not 1:1. (Brutally) Neutralize your opponent and get ready because his friends will be only seconds behind in their attacks. I know, easier said behind a keyboard and when not in imminent peril.
Respect to you for standing your ground. I wish you the speediest and best recovery!
Corsair K70 with Cherry Red or Brown switches. My first real keyboard (instead of $10 whatever solutions), and no way I can ever go back. Plus, red light up keys!
Also, most capital ships in Star Wars sport ion cannons. Even the Y-Wing fighter had them (cockpit mounted top turret). Not to the level of the cannon on Hoth, so no one-shot kills, but enough to chip away at a target.
Good point - there was also the morale and propaganda issue that the loss of the HMS Hood caused. She was considered the pride of the Royal Navy. That the RN, renowned as ruling the oceans, lost their flagship in a traditional line-of-battle engagement, was massive.
Also, U-Boat deployment consumed immense amounts of Allied resources to counter (Atlantic escorts, coastal escorts, air patrols). This remained so even after the turning point in the Battle of the Atlantic
I always thought Moira's (relatively) up-beat and perky dialogue, post-nuke, to be extremely disturbing. Rather than have her yelling or screaming in agony, her response is haunting, and makes you feel the chilling effect of your choice.
Well most odd - I just searched for them too, and they're no longer on streaming. They were available a month or two back, as they were most definitely in my queue.
Netflix will pull movies/series time to time. Case in point, Buck Rogers Season 1 (still sad about that).
I was just at the Deutsches Museum last week. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect... It is an amazing place, and I couldn't recommend it more, if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

Poster was saying Bismarck was the best at that time. DKM Bismarck was commissioned in 1940, while the first of the Iowa class was not until 1943.
I know a lot of Thai Buddhist consider their blend more of a philosophy than a religion.
That's right - I think it changes once they enter the zone. A phenomenal and hauntingly beautiful film by the great Andrei Tarkovskiy.

Some interesting info, especially on production and health-related deaths due to the movie:

I had heard that too. Something about why Marsellus had the band-aid on the back of his neck, where the soul escaped/was removed.
Another great McGuffin was the suitcase in Ronin.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Motorcycle Diaries are available on Netflix streaming.
I figured I was done with it after playing ~350 hours last year, but the addiction persists...
