But do they really think that one city will change anything? I think this is a step in the right direction if everybody starts using more efficient/ less waste cars, but why make such a big deal over the first step?
Couldn't it be a bad thing for companies to start launching stuff into space. Not just say, satelites, but perhaps other stuff including space marketing? Shouldn't there be a limit on what goes into space and what doesn't?
This sounds like the best idea an education system, whether it be the UK or the US, has ever had. All schools could save hundreds of dollars by using Linux instead of Windows, and it would give kids a better background. Also, it might encourage the development of more OSS by the students.
