Ah, but this man is stating the very foundation this country was built on. "I hate what you're saying, but I will defend to death your right to say it", and all that jazz.
It's extra light in the afternoon, not morning. But you are right, days get shorter, the sun doesn't just move up an hour in it's schedule. When it was introduced way back when in a very farm-rich America, it made sense. It was mainly to allow farmers in America to work during the daylight hours while keeping on the train schedule, if I recall from my American History class. It's an outdated system with the modernization of the world.
Well, the point is you move your clock up/down to adjust to the changing daylight schedule. It's saving it in the sense that when you wake up, it hasn't already been sunny for an hour or two, and you "save" that extra sunlight for the late afternoon.
This kind of incentive clearly doesn't work for the situation you've provided. If everyone is going to be playing on these maps, it would be tough and unfair to limit them to just the initial round of buyers. What is really being done are things like free micro-transactions (Rock-Band) and that roster update tool. Completely different situation. This seems like more of a console solution since you can't easily just download the maps and throw 'em in the ol' map folder.
I dunno... Assassins Creed seemed more just holding one button and running up to specific things, then he'd do an action. This looks like more of a free roaming kind of thing where you really have control of what you do on each object.
That may work for some, but a lot of gamers want the game to keep kicking their ass until they learn how to beat it, or they get better at the game. If the game scaled back when I fail a couple of times, I would not feel as if I accomplished anything except the game taking pity on me.
You compare office 2007 and 2003. Those are evolutions over each other. You can't go back and say "This is different than it was several years ago!" Comparing Office 2007 with WMP11 with Windows Vista would be more appropriate. Those programs, while not being exactly the same, are similar in how they present large buttons on the top of the window, with some contextual changes (ribbons in 2007, different folder views in Vista explorer). They all also lack the "File Edit Tools...ect" menus.
I hit the lock button real quick. It's right on the side. That works for phones, but I'm not sure if something like a Tablet or other large screen device would have something like that.
How 'bout this. The person has a weak heart, you buddy up and give them a free ticket. You tell them it's the little choo-choo ride. The get on and are ready for some choo-in'! Then, the train leaves the station, and it's a roller coaster. They die. THAT is more along the lines of what happened.
The universities are actually the only part of the US education system that ARE competent.
You'd just need to put a wireless power thinggy on your desk and VIOLA! No more charging cables!

Yes, yes it is.
Unless that 3% is worth the extra weight/cost.

DVDs are half the cost and the Wii is twice as fun?

The PS3 just does so much more than just playing movies or games... I don't see how anyone with an HDTV and sound system gets by without one...
Er, with a DVD player and a Wii?

Isn't it funny that the player does, in fact, cost less than the DVD itself?

I'd buy a 1000 usd lock.
Or he's Jim Carrey.
He hit a drunk guy.

I can tell you from experience that they do not. I'm always wiping the screen of my Voyager after using it. >_
I don't think he was saying that they were the same thing, just that they've both have "never really been tried".
My Firefox 3 has been running stable for months, no crashes. Same with my copy of Vista.

Not if it's Natty Ice.
There's also the difference of satellite being located in space and their truck being located on the land owner's private property.
The law says they cannot trespass on private property. Google can take pictures of the house from publicly accessible areas how ever much they want.
