  1. Game Machine on Why Sony is Ready to Self Destruct · · Score: 1

I'll admit. I was HIGHLY pissed when I heard that even the CHEAP PS3 would cost $500. But hell, if the games coming out for it are good, fuck it, I'll buy it. From my understanding, it'll play PSX and PS2 games as well as my DVDs. I'll agree with what's been said here that it's a game machine and should be judged as such. But I can't help but think of other things. If I'm getting three game systems and a high quality DVD player all in one box, $500 doesn't seem too bad. I'll still probably wait for the price to drop though. Not to mention wait to see what kinds of games are being released.

That's it! That's the secret to making bug-free software! Not fix anything then deny it's a bug! That's what I'm gonna do!

"Hey, this is a critical exploit!"
    "No, it's not."
    "Okay."

    BRILLIANT!

Yeah....I'm not so sure this is a good idea. I have fond memories of that movie and I don't want to see them going up in flames.

  4. ID != Creationism on Scientists Figure Out How Bees Fly · · Score: 2, Interesting

I wish people would quit confusing Intelligent Design and Creationism. Science and ID should technically be able to coexist peacefully since the whole ID theory states is that the universe is so complicated that it must have been designed by some intelligent entity. This is the theory I hold to and in my opinion, science REINFORCES my belief. Creationism, however, states that God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days, yadda yadda yadda and usually people who believe in Creationism insist on taking it literally and therefore shutting their eyes to science and intelligence. And frankly, I'm more interested in how bees fly than how this proves or disproves anyone else's arguments.

I would suggest "The Dream Cycle of H. P. Lovecraft, Dreams of Terror and Death" published by Del Rey Books, ISBN 0-345-38421-0. It even has an introduction by Neil Gaiman.

So.....what? Japan ALWAYS has to have the console first, lest they be offended? If memory serves, the last time WE got a console before japan was, lemme think.... the Atari? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. If such is the case, screw Japan. They don't HAVE to have everything first. Let them be bitchy if they want. Doesn't make them look good.

Actually, Dragonball Z isn't a 'kiddy' cartoon. It was originally intended for a more mature audience. early to middle teenagers, mostly. It's only after it's imported to America that it becomes kiddy-fied, what with the changing of names and language to not 'offend' the 5-10 year-olds. Not to say that Dragonball Z is mature on the level that Cowboy Bebop is, but it's definitely not a 'kiddy' show like Powerpuff Girls.
