I don't have a degree. It may be a little harder to get your foot in the door, but I've been career programmer for over 10 years now, and in those ten years I went from measly IT support droid to leading an R&D team in a major multinational.
At this point in my career, there is no point in putting education or certificates on my resume. The work experience speaks for itself. The only limitation I have now are countries that insist on a degree in order to immigrate there under some kind of "valued worker" type of program. I can't qualify for H1-B for example. But hey, why would I give up Canada to goto the US anyways?
What is the difference between injecting code into a machine to make it do what you want, and injecting an idea into a human to make the human do what you want.
Why on earth did we spend all this money on beautiful 1920x1080 screens, AND spend so much time developing so called "responsive design" stylesheets and javascript, that we are still suck with extremely thin websites?
How on earth is this even remotely an improvement?
But then again you wouldn't expect a Canadian to do such a brazen hack. Rather the Canadian would ask the other Canadian politely if they could use their phone, then quickly hop on their moose and ride off with it.
> Is this like "free" healthcare where people are forced to shell out money whether they want to or not and if you don't have the money to pay, everyone else chips in more money to cover you?
You can't run any other language than JS in the browser (practically anyways), so if you want a one-language-to-rule-them-all, you really need to code in one language knowing it will be translated into a different language, which is always uncomfortable.

I doubt it'll spur competition, because everyone will just stick with CS6.
I'm not a multi media production expert, but CS6 seems to be pretty feature complete, and if you ever wanted to go further than that, there is always Processing or max/msp, and third party plugins for After Effects, Premeire, and Photoshop.
like Windows vista?
In what way is the iPad "middle-of-the-road" hardware?
What tablets on the market now exist that greatly exceed the ipad in the highend spectrum?

The JVM or the language?
so will this result in a theocratic christian government run by the bible belt?
I'm not sure I ever felt discussing, though since I'm discussing it, I guess... I am discussed.

Interfaces, abstract classes, private members, etc... Why did python avoid all this?

Yes. Why not?
Better hardware means more interesting software...
well I am a master of PHP, so let's find out...
Why does Apple need their money in the first place? Doesn't it have a problem with having too much cash as it is?

How is streaming online any different than streaming over The air?
Ender's game is a good book, but if any sci-fi author will be regarded as one of the american greats, then it will be Frank Herbert for Dune.
It's 2013, does that make the term "Information Superhighway" retro?

That's why Super PACs exist.
what ever happened to the hacker mentality these days?
they would do it, BECAUSE THEY CAN. A reason so valid that it I shouldn't have to be here telling you about it.
