You don't even understand what "leftist" means; you've assigned your own (highly subjective and variable) definition to it and expect the rest of us to play along. Fuck that noise.
The only solution when you don't have enough manpower to scrutinise all posts is to disable edits of posted items. One of two discussion boards I'm associated with gives you 10 minutes to make any corrections. The other has got rid of edits altogether.
Rich? Hardly. I merely have reliable income and a very clear set of priorities. 90% of my travel relates to family, BTW—neither my wife nor I are natives of Sweden, Europe, or even the same country.
And we were talking about *credit cards*, which absolutely no-one ever uses to buy a *house*, FFS. I have a mortgage just like 90% of homeowners in Western countries do.
And I've ~20 years experience in my field, the last 15 of them split between three of the biggest names in the industry, and I'm the author or co-author of about a dozen books on the subject. Anyone who thinks my credit score or lack thereof has any bearing on my qualifications is somebody I don't need to work for.
Once I was in a situation that I suspect wasn't too different from yours. I escaped it by educating myself, setting very definite (but flexible) goals for myself, watching and jumping on every opportunity that arose to further myself towards those goals, and not resting until they were achieved. No reason you can't do something similar. Good luck!
I've used my Swedish bank card in the US many times to rent vehicles and rooms. It has a Visa card number but it's a debit card. Never had it turned down by any business that accepts Visa cards.
I have run into a few places in China (locally-owned shops or China-only businesses) that take only UnionPay cards or cash, but ATMs are plentiful and I've never had any trouble with those.
Travel is vastly more difficult for those few upright souls who refuse usurious credit cards.
Thanks for telling me this—And here I thought I was getting along just fine, since I don't even have a credit card and my debit card has worked without issues for me in every country I've ever visited (about 30 of those, last time I bothered to count). Silly me!
That's specific to one vendor and the choices it's made. There are plenty of ubiquitous and cheaper hardware options that will work with any of several Linux distros that are available gratis.
Operation Northwoods never happened. You apparently missed the word proposed, so let me help. (One wonders whether such a scheme would be rejected by the current inhabitant of the White House as it was by JFK, but that's neither here nor there.)
This intelligence community and media were the same ones who lied us into Iraq, remember?
*I* remember certain parties within the Bush Administration ignoring their intelligence agencies (and not just their own) and feeding a bunch of crap to the media that was later shown in the media to be just that—crap.
Putin-bankrolled Russotrolls seem to forget that private companies in the US are under no compulsion whatsoever to guarantee freedom of speech.
TFTFY.
Screaming incoherently and flailing his arms about seems to have worked pretty well for The Donald...

Yes, nutjobs who don't pay their bills and go out of their way to antagonise the authorities often wind up in trouble. What of it?

How can voters choose responsibly when they're they're inundated with misinfo, disinfo, and outright lies?

...Windows will be about as popular as Hillary.
So it'll still be the choice of the majority? SAD.
It's the same sort of childish nonsense as equating being wrong about something with lying about it.

"9-11 was an inside job!"? Pffft.
ExecSummary: You got nothin'.
Corporate decision-makers are well aware of the issues to which you refer.
That's not the problem.
The problem is that such people regard those issues as desirable features.
One would think that at least one of those shows' writers would've had read Illuminatus! at some point, but I guess not.
And my brother is named for both our grandmothers. (Their maiden family names are his given names.) What of it?
Your grammar's fine.
pine FTW.
Exactly. Thunderbird + access Gmail via POP3. Problem solved.
Was coming here to post this. Although I gave in to the pressure eventually, and so use IMAP nowadays.
I thought they quit making that stuff about 30 years ago, but apparently not. Learn something new every day, I guess.
You're implying that I'm anti-American? Curious.

Projection is such a wonderful thing, isn't it?
There is no need to swat a fly that isn't actually buzzing around your head.
And, by the way, have you stopped beating your wife?
We're not perfect—we're just less likely to season your beverage with polonium than some folks are.
