From the article:
"Aerial photographs used by Microsoft and Google can be outdated. On Microsoft's service, an overhead view of Apple Inc.'s headquarters in Cupertino showed only one building instead of the sprawling campus of 11 buildings.
Microsoft spokesman Chris Warfield explained that Virtual Earth is being released as a test and that images will be updated regularly. Images of Cupertino, he said, come from the U.S. Geological Survey and were taken in 1991 and 2004.
'That wasn't a prank or anything intentional,' Warfield said."
I find the name Vista to be very appropriate. I propose that on every new install, an image of the Terminator pops up, saying "Hasta la vista, baby!!!"
I wonder if this "fight" was truly designed to measure your online popularity, or the number of internet users stupid enough to use an America Online product.
We here in Redmond are becoming concerned at the amount of personal computers (PC's) being found in dumpsters. As you are already aware, recycling is a much more environmentally conscious option than throwing away. We have built a "Recycle Bin" into every version of our Microsoft Windows Operating System since Windows 95. In order to protect the environment, we ask that you refrain from disposing of your computer and instead place the offending "spyware" into our Recycle Bin. That way, the files can reinfect your computer until you download our new Microsoft AntiSpyware product. At that time, all offending files will be permanently disposed of, except for ones created by the Claria Company. Thank you, and happy computing!!!
You can buy games with an M rating at 17. You can buy games with an Adult Only rating at 18. Evidently, that one year that spans the junior and senior years of high school makes all the difference in the world...
