    erm.... sarcasm perhaps?

    sheesh...

What is drum & bass? What is detroit? What is chill-out? How does ibiza trance differ from acid trance? The distinctions are all-important to insiders but incomprehensible to outsiders.

Okay, I know that I'm probably not in the majority, but these questions are all TOTAL no-brainers... If you can't tell d'n'b from detroit, or Goa from ibiza "trance" (read handbag) YOU'RE DEAF. To then actually be able to explain them in the absence of examples is probably different, but it's the same as discerning bluegrass/rnb/country/jazz or whatever....

Right, now apart from those points, good rant!

    end quote.

Yes, it is. God you're an idiot. So everyone who CAN'T read and write english is going to be made to learn, or denied the net? Even when communicating with their compatriots? Get a grip. Fine, a lot of people speak English, (or at least US English), and it is probably the biggest SECOND language in the world. So what? Do you think it would be easier to organise some protocal for all characters, or to teach millions (if not billions) of people a new language? Someone mod me redundant, as I hope everyone understands what a dolt this guy is.

...with broadband is that the telcos have been moving the goalposts since they've worked out that (shock horror) a broadband customer might actually use quite a chunk of bandwidth. One provider now has a policy of kicking off any customers using 10 times the AVERAGE amount.

This, of course, means that the average amount drops each billing period. Mathematically cute, but it's certainly stopped me signing up. When I use any P2P services, I do so on a slow (but free) dialup line in my sleep.

Yes, that's heavy, but isn't it lucky we can test a few new paradigms on something as frivoulous as pop music?
