Do some research on Environmental Media Services. Even that name sounds like a made-up political offshoot of one major party or the other. The fact that it's in D.C. is merely corroboration for the theory that they're not objective. And if you were going to lie to your registrar about where your environmental organization is located, or rent out office space to avoid lying, then you would probably choose to do so in a place that isn't so politicized.
I'm being informative. I don't think there's a moderation option for being just plain argumentative. Sorry that you're missing out.
When I was about three years old, we had a three-wheeler. Armed with a flat-head screwdriver, I decided that it would be fun to take it apart. I removed and disassembled the tail-light assembly and carried it in to my mother, triumphantly. She looked at me, looked at what I had in my hands (tail-light parts and a screwdriver), and told me to put it back together. So I did. I haven't quite been the same since.
Actually, the thing that I believe the least is that anyone who knows anything about any science would choose to hang out in or associate with people from D.C.
Who cares if it only worked on the same host originally? The assertion wasn't "before Internet instant messaging was invented," but rather "before instant messaging was invented." Of course, you don't verify any of your statements, so it's probably safe to assume that they're 100% false as with the majority of AC posts which can't be bothered to verify themselves.
The talk manpage says that the talk command appeared in 4.2BSD, which was released in August, 1983, according to this history of BSD. Does Windows Messenger Service predate that?
The last time I tried, you could only write to NTFS in the sense that you could change the contents of a file - you could not change the size of a file, delete a file, or create a new file, if I remember at all correctly.
Only if you don't want the ability to write to an NTFS filesystem. I had the same thought - Why would you want a Windows XP LiveCD? And that's the answer I came up with - to make changes to my NTFS filesystem.
This defeats the "free" part of Free Software. I sure hope that the article is wrong, that the GPL does not adopt these provisions, or that nobody uses the GPL when it does. This is like making it illegal to watch broadcast TV if you have ever watched satellite. It's impertinent, out of place, and a fundamental corruption of the whole point of the operation.
There are a million types of CMS. There are blog engines, Slash clones, WYSIWYG HTML editors, XSLT systems, and so forth. He used the phrase "content management system" in his post, so you can assume that he knows what a CMS is, he just doesn't know what makes this one so special. I don't, either.
I've lost keys to the deadbolt but never to the ignition. But I do agree that the likelihood of running your keys over with a truck is less than that of breaking one off in the ignition, so - what's the secure and reliable solution? USB just doesn't seem to be it, to me.
When it's cold enough that keys have a 10% chance of breaking off in the deadbolt because the bolt is stuck and the key is brittle, you don't take chances on your front house door. Besides, what self-respecting burglar is going miles between houses to steal stuff when it's -40? He's at home watching his stolen TV and staying warm, drinking his stolen Swiss Miss.;)
Oh, I almost forgot to answer your question. Yes. We're nuts.
Your mittens leak.;) I have mittens like that, but only for hunting, and I wear a pair of gloves beneath them. But that's not enough for -40 temperatures - hunting season is in November when it stays above -20. I think we can agree that both of us have inferior fingers, which should be able to regulate their temperature so as to obviate the need for mittens in the first place.;)
Well, that was certainly fast!
I bet that they'd leave D.C. if they could choose to do so and keep their jobs. :)

Looks political to me.
Wait...slashdot got 0wned?
That's not a table, but the point is valid. Lynx is not crash-proof. However, it is the most secure web browser I can think of.
lynx

Even Vegas won't let you make that risky of a bet.

No good deed shall go unpunished. I really don't like Paypal, for this and many other reasons. What ever happened to e-Gold?
Of the people who signed onto that treaty, how many wrote the Constitution?

Is there a good comparison of the terms of the two licenses? I am not even going to RTFA, much less both licenses side by side. It's Saturday, people.
That's a fascinating thought. Thanks.

Actually, it's 4/3 = 133%. I am out of the state.

I don't think he really meant that you're a genius, genius. ;-D
