  1. Well on ISP Restrictions Based on Hardware/Software? · · Score: 1

I don't want them to know what I'm running anyway. Why should they get to know everything that goes on in my computer?

  5. Re:How 'bout some real sugar on Coca-Cola's Coffee Soda · · Score: 0

The only plant (in the US) that still does use cane sugar is the Dr. Pepper plant in Waco. It's expensive as hell, though.

It's because they have it so it's extremely hard to disable MSM, plus other programs they bundle (Outlook Express, IE) prevent it from closing a lot of the time. It's also Windows-exclusive from what I can tell, but that shouldn't affect the lawsuit any.

  11. Re:Fake plates on CCTV Network Tracks Getaway Car · · Score: 1

IF they were low-quality fakes, wouldn't the police just pull you over anyway for having blatantly fake plates?

  12. Re:Sigh why was he modded informative on CCTV Network Tracks Getaway Car · · Score: 2, Insightful

Just because the police don't have the right to, doesn't mean the police couldn't just as easily make up probable cause. Seriously, do you think that just because they're police officers, that they abide by the law?

  13. Re:When are Mp3 player companies going to get it? on Microsoft Chided Over Exclusive Music Idea · · Score: 1

From personal experience, the driver an iRiver H10 (the newest version of their product) uses happens to be an MTP driver, standard with all editions of XP. I don't see how this is a big deal, because anything before XP, and these products didn't exist to be worthwhile to support with a bundled driver.

  14. Re:Neal Stephenson on Diamond Nanotubes Created · · Score: 1

Diamonds won't lose their monetary value. Lab-grown diamonds have inclusions that are never seen in nature, so you will always be able to tell them apart, thus making a difference between the real, expensive diamonds and the lab-grown, cheap ones.
