Typically when someone talks about a Nintendo flop they like to pull out the Virtua Boy. Pretty much the one system Nintendo had that didn't do too well. Personally, I'd rather work for a company that sold 50M units in the black than one that sold 70M in the red.
Not exactly. A serial number can only be used once. It is there forever tied to a login. If they ban the account, there is no way to reuse either the serial number or the login.
So if we assume all 59k buy new accounts Blizzard is still way ahead since you pay for your access in advance. Figure out of 59k accounts roughly 2k of them were paid for the next 30 days, another 2k for 29, another 2k for 28, etc.
But just because you think gambling is bad, doesn't mean someone else believes the same. I think smoking is bad, but it's not my place to tell anyone else what to do.
They already have these. The other day I tried partypoker.com for the first time. They offer the purchase of a phone card through one site and then the credit is transferred to Party Poker via an authorization code (I had to do this after my bank denied the transaction).
I find that type of advertising campaign to be in poor taste. Bashing the competition regardless of who is bashing who does not customer loyalty make.
I'm proud to work for Dell. Is the company perfect? Of course not. But the number one rule we live by is that if we win, it will be done the right way.
Oh well, can't expect everyone to live up to my standards.
New content is added without having been charge more than the fee. See Battlegrounds or Zul'Gurub for instance. Yes, I'm a part-time WoW player :)
Cake? It's Jello. Jeez, kids these days. Bill Cosby is rolling in his grave....

Wouldn't work out too well. You'd have people hacking the game ala Diablo (and that wasn't even P2P). Now where did I put that Hex editor...

Brainwashed hardly. I just prefer to work for ethical companies. But again, that is my preferance.

Well of course, this stuff matters!
