  1. Re:I think Beck has started to believe his own con on Glen Beck Warns Viewers Not To Use Google · · Score: 1

Well - so do a quick google on US government and Google and you will see what its all about. They don't have to censor anything because they don't care. Nothing you (citizens) can do about it. ( I don't know who "they" are BTW). Look at the results and the dates, use some common sense, then connect the dots. Don't listen to Beck, make up your own mind. Do you ever wonder why Google "gives" away a great email service with lots of storage. Hmm - Google , the king of search, lots of storage.... Marketing, yes, that's obvious. What else? Again , you have to put it together.

They either did not know the definition of a placebo OR the folks in the study are so brain washed as to what they believe (or should believe) can not be shaken even when the truth is told to them. - this is pretty scary. You could apply this thinking to the 2008 US presidential elections- even with known facts (and gaps in facts) about candidates, folks believe what they wanted and elected an questionable individual. This should be exciting news for future politicians - that folks are basically sheep and can "engineered" into whatever vote they see fit. Now the real question is how did folks get that way???

I can be conned. Most people can be conned under the right circumstances. A guy like Bernie Madoff could probably con the shit out of me, if I had the money to be worth conning. It's not a question of invulnerability. It's a question of standards. Nigerian princes just don't cut it.

Absolutely, a lot of folks can be conned. Look at all the folks who voted for Obama in 2008.

damn straight, skippy Problem is most folks don't care- if they lose all their music on their puter, they just repurchase. I have spoken to folks till I'm blue in the face and they shrug and say, wtf? And that is what the folks behind DRM want- consumers not to understand and think "well, that the way its supposed to work." The general population has been brainwashed and become comfortable with the idea of being followers and told what to do. How else would sheeple willingly give up half their income in taxes and just whimper about how they don't like it! DRM won't go away until folks get up off their ass and do something beside just bithin.

ESX is the vmkernel. This is the virtual piece. It runs a so called compatibility layer for the Linux drivers. "VMkernel drivers are modified Linux drivers, even though the VMkernel is not a Linux variant" I would take it, that the vmkernel is based on Linux. It uses Linux drivers. This comes from VMWare's own site find out for yourself. just search for "vmkernel linux" on the vmware KB and you will find all sorts of these type references.

yes- this is correct. the redhat part kicks off the vmkernel. which is distinctly written by VMWare. may be based on linux, probably is. but unless you have the source code , who knows (except vmware)

oh - i am on her side and she should take them to the cleaners, but you missed the point. She is a dumbass for even posting something like that in the first place and putting herself in a position that she is in now. Lets think about it for a second. Myspace is not in your control, (you may think so, but I assure you it is not) It is public- so anyone can see. You are in or want a respectful position in whatever. A picture on my space of you doing a bong hit rarely works to your favor. In fact, if you we're smart about it, you would use myspace to your advantage based on the fact that it is a public forum. But, if you were smart you wouldn't be using myspace to begin with. The mere fact that you use myspace says a lot about anyone, irrelevant of the page content.

Dumbass - the whole point here is- myspace is a public forum and you need to use common sense when you post in myspace or do anything in public. when you leave your digital fingerprint you don't know where it will show back up. A litle understanding of what is happening in your world and not going "Forrest Gump" like forward would help a lot of folks. Thats too much to ask for most folks.

I return NF DVD's very quickly. So now they can be re-inventoried and available for others. Why should I be penalized by being categorized as a heavy renter? NF can now enjoy lower operating cost by not having to purchase or lease a larger quantity of the same movie that is requested by other customers. Granted, a slight increase in postage cost to NF, but far lower than the cost of the DVD, even at their vendor purchase rates. (I assume)
