im getting solar power and wind for my home. Going to convert a car to biofuels and stocking Guns and ammo legally. I'm already stocking gardening books and such to the info they contain. Call me crazy but if and when the shit hits at least ill be somewhat prepared.
as a finance major...i can say that im sure you can write code, come up w/ great ideas. if this is so then let your 'finance' guy do finance and you can do what u do best. Code and idea.

why? it defeats the illusion of disbelief. Some of argue that it could make the game more realistic.
WE ARE PLAYING GAMES TO ESCAPE REALITY. face it, reality is not fun. if we wanted to get realistic then my gun would jam in counterstrike, ammo would be defective. my character would get a sprang ankle and be unable to move. your cars would run out of gas in GTA.
so who wants to play a game and see @$*# like burger king commercials?
much like hollywood has gone down the Kra-pper , video games are going the same exact thing. Corporate suits that have no interest, talent, or desire to make a good game are put in charge. The only thing that matters to them is profits. more profits = more stock options = more money.
But what it really comes down to is this.
Now is the time to make a stand and you only vote is what matters to them most. Hard Cold Cash.
If we ban games that market this crud we might.. might nip this in the butt b4 it gets out of control. if not, then prepare to undure Britney Spears in your counterstrike 3 game or Backstreet boys "singing" in Everquest 3.
Personally i REFUSE i but ANY game with that crud in it.

an occassional terrorist blowing up something or the terror that our 'governments' are causing by spying , filming, watching and just generally acting 'big brother' like on its citizens.

1. Stop playing fucking advertisements before the movie. I paid to watch the movie. I did not pay to watch some dumb commercial about how some rich kids drive around the country partying in barns drinking coke (aka poision). I should not have to put up w/ 10 min of commercials just to watch 20 min of "comming soon" promos for movies that suck.
by default now i let a movie come out , wait a month and then go see it 20 min late and i always show up exactly on time b4 the movie has started.
2. put in cell phone jammers. yes, its against teh law in the us but not in europe. hell, do it anyway and just blame it on the building.
3. No more sequels. i really want to see some good stories or innovation. No more "the ring 3020 -the quest for more cash"

They are working on making rockets to carry people and cargo.
