I'm not sure. They talk big about data analytics, but have you ever noticed how bad their recommendations are? E.g. I just bought a pack of phone screen protectors, and then I started getting emails suggesting I buy other screen protectors. So either their recommendations are terrible or they think their product is terrible. And that doesn't even touch how badly they compare to Netflix's video recommendations!
For me (not a big investor, not involved in the private equity deals, etc), Facebook has 0 liquidity. Even low-but-not-zero liquidity matters. E.g. look at spreads on ETFs that have very little liquidity vs ones with lots of liquidity.
How do you access the market? Why does it take you 24 hrs to make a trade? I'm not advocating day trading or anything, but that is surprisingly slow.
The liquidity doesn't matter for the issuer, it matters for the investor. If it is difficult to sell your investment (say if you want the money for something else, or decide you can invest it more effectively in another company, etc) because of little or no liquidity, then you will be less likely to invest.
You do realize that you can't get "long-term" capital gains while doing "high frequency" trading right? They already pay short-term capital gains (which are taxed at the income rate)...
Have you already tried to contact the project lead(s)? Maybe they'd help you take it over, or your interest could encourage him/her/them to get going again, etc...
Because this is a GPL protocol, any product which uses it to connect to a MySQL server, or to emulate a MySQL server, or to interpose between any client and server which uses the protocol, or for any similar purpose, is also bound by the GPL. Therefore if you use this description to write a program, you must release your program as GPL.
I don't think that's a valid use of copyright, but I'm not a lawyer. Can anyone explain to me how that's a valid use of the GPL?
Have you considered just avoiding music from RIAA labels? There are plenty of independent labels out there. I have found the RIAA Radar to be very helpful.
Perhaps people that either don't want to pay to attend a class, or just want to hear one particular lecture rather than take an entire class would find these helpful. I don't think anyone is claiming these non-credit lectures can actually replace taking classes.
Note to get that first link you'll either have cookies enabled, and answer some questions about what services you have from SBC. As far as I can tell, any of their options will get you to the same page...
Didn't we just extend a tax cut on dividend income? Wouldn't that generate a lot more income than taxing a kid who spends his Wendy's salary to buy a $45 game? I guess a senator (who probably owns a lot of stock) wouldn't even notice that games cost more, and parents (who at least own more stock than their kids) could see it as a good thing since their kids would be less likely to play as many games if they cost more. Too bad the poor kids can't vote!
I think that's a bit of an over-simplification. I think you'd be much better off saying that TV imitates and exaggerates a small part of the society. TV can't be too much like real life or no one would watch it. If a show like "The Office" or whatever was actually like my day at work (or if CSI was really like forensics, etc), I sure wouldn't watch it! Also, "offensive", "edgy", or "scandalous" content sells. I doubt that's because people think "Finally, a more accurate representation of real-life!" (or "that's really what my high school was like"). In a lot of ways, TV (like video games) are an escape.
The question of whether society is affected by TV (and entertainment in general) is a much more complicated question. I may not be able to turn hair blue like Marge, but I can (and have) picked up phrases from Bart and Homer. I'm not sure I can give a really coherent argument for this in just a few seconds, but I suspect it's much more of a give and take than you seem to want to acknowledge...
What if you used the index to create a shorter list of candidate files? e.g. instead of looking at all 10 gigs of files for "acrobatic wombat", find the 30 or whatever files that contain "acrobatic" or "wombat" using the index and only do a full-text search of that? I guess it gets more complicated if you allow wildcards (something like "acrobat* wombat"), but I think it's worth thinking about...
Disclaimer: I have never looked at WINE code before...
Is this the patch you mean? wine/dlls/gdi/metafile.c rev 1.11 to 1.12
The "Escape" function that calls after the new validation is defined in wine/dlls/gdi/driver.c (search for "Escape(", sorry the link isn't direct...). Before I waste too much time thinking about this and reading code, can you confirm that I'm looking at the right patch? Thanks...
There is a dual processor Mini-ITX motherboard that I think uses the same processors as the nano board (but is really expensive!). Based on the fact that they claim to have the dual-processor boards in-stock, I'd say the nano's have some hope. The processors are at least working to some degree...
Also, check out these Pentium-M Mini-ITX boards. Small form factor Pentium-M motherboards already exist!
Note: I'm not connected with that company. I just ordered something from them, so I was looking around their site recently. I'm pretty happy with them so far, but if anyone knows of good US Mini-ITX retailers I'd be interested to know who they are.
I am no expert here, but isn't the shadow on the thickest part of the line (near the top of the image) on the bottom edge of the line? And isn't the shadow of the "mysterious rock-like object" at the end of the line also on the bottom? So if the "mysterious rock-like object" really is an alien space craft (or even maybe just a rock?) sticking out of the surface, then doesn't that mean the line be protruding out of the surface as well? I don't think that's a depression...

Middle men can have value: for example, the grocery store, distributors, etc are middle men between you and a farmer. Does that make them evil?

Are you familiar with the existing SEC fee on sales in the market?

Actually, spreads are tighter now than they used to be. For a small long-term investor, that's a good thing.

The link I have there for the MySQL internals doc seems to be invalid... It has moved to here: http://forge.mysql.com/wiki/MySQL_Internals_Clien

Have you seen that Sid Meier has an updated version of Pirates! with nice 3d graphics?
According to this FAQ entry, it's not fully open-source...

What have you tried? I have an Epia system with a Unichrome Pro and got it working with the Openchrome driver. Have you tried that yet?
