  1. WOW! CUTTING EDGE STUFF FROM MICROSOFT!! on Microsoft Research Shows Off New Projects On College Recruiting Tour · · Score: 1

...a global carbon-climate model, and several other software and hardware experiments. WOW! GROUND BREAKING STUFF!! NOBODY has EVER thought to make a 'carbon-climate model'!! That's revolutionary!!!!!!! In typical MS fashion, they'll build a mediocre knock-off of what's now an old idea and act like they invented it.

  2. This is NOT a test of intelligence! on The Smartest Browser and OS · · Score: 1

Results of this test have absolutely no bearing on ones level of intelligence. Most of the questions (In the test that I took anyway) were trivial. "Which country was the first to allow women to vote?" I'm fairly certain I could teach this little bit of trivia to someone who is mentally retarded. Trivial Knowledge â intelligence Of course I wasn't surprised to see an ad for magical brain vitamins at the end.

  3. Re:The ideal Vista virus on Windows Vista Launches To Mixed Reactions · · Score: 1

That is an INCREDIBLE concept!! I laughed out loud!!
I'm going to get started on that right away!!
Now let's see... Google... search for "How to write a virus"...

  4. This is a fairly ridiculous argument on Does Portable Music Have to be Compressed? · · Score: 2, Funny

Working in the consumer electronics industry, I've met a few audiophiles over the years. The ones that are truly anal about sound quality can all be collected together in a single hotel. In fact, they are! Go to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January and hop on over to the Venetian hotel where the high end audio guys congregate. They get their own special show where they can show off their $200,000 pairs of speakers. (To be fair, I did see those speakers for $185,000 as a show special). You'll know you're in the right place because it'll be crowded with grey beards and tweed jackets. MP3 audio is NOT FOR these guys. Who cares if they refuse to buy it?! Download lossless audio, like WAV files, for a "few cents more"? Ya right! Those files are something like 20x the size! Just like Audio Note has no plans to make an $80,000 tube amp with iPod interface for a teenagers bedroom, Apple, emusic and whomever else need not make any plans to satisfy the 100 or so people in the world who are REALLY into hi fidelity.

  5. Easy to take out on Machine Gun Sentry Robot Unveiled · · Score: 1

A 12 year old kid with a paintball gun could render it useless rather quickly, particularly if they had specially formulated paintballs to goob up whatever sensors it might have.

  6. Why bother? on Options for 'Fixing' A Pirated Copy of Windows · · Score: 4, Interesting

Are they losing sleep at night feeling like they're taking food out of the mouths of those in Redmond? Do they think their system will run better? Perhaps they feel it's a sin because technically it's stealing? My advice... don't even bother with it. Buy Vista if and when it's released or wait until you get a new computer.

  7. Re:Porn On The Cutting Edge of Technology?!?! on The Pornographers vs. The Pirates · · Score: 1

Ok, no pun intended there, but kudos to all those who MADE it a pun. It's a good one!

  8. Porn On The Cutting Edge of Technology?!?! on The Pornographers vs. The Pirates · · Score: 1

So the porn industry has concepts and technology way ahead of the curve? THAT'S never happened before. (That dripping sound is sarcasm)

  9. All it needs is a catchy name... on Former Health Secretary Pushes for VeriChip Implants · · Score: 1

It won't be long until they start calling it the "Freedom Chip" and tell every citizen that they're helping fight the "War on Terror" by having one implanted.
