Does anyone remember Childs was fired first. At that stage management blew it as he's not working for them anymore and doesn't have to give them anything. If they want control of the hardware, reset it themselves and learn the value of their mistake.

Essentially the priest was running rackets during the war and finally knocked some woman up before the church moved him. No matter how much noise was made the church just moved the guys and shushed everything up. Face it, the church was made for humans by humans, another empire that should be destroyed. I was raised catholic but once I started thinking about history, current events, and how we treat each other I realized god doesn't exist or doesn't deserve our respect in any way. If we put as much energy in respecting each other as we do to kissing up to religion many of our problems would be gone.
ps - the geek conditions, reasons and lore supporting going on with this could add paragraphs, if not novels, but I have to get my clothes washing done sometime today.

No strings attached is irrelevant. They didn't use the money as intended by congress, that's fraud. Start nailing these corporations at a personal/personel level and the problems will go away real quick. Nothing motivates an executive more than the risk of being thrown in a cell with the biggest dick around. Let's not forget the executives families since they benefited and surely received gifts to hide. Plus don't forget the corporations by taking away their charter and breaking them apart as well. Violate the public trust, pay the ultimate price.
Pfizer didn't just lie about one drug but several different series of drugs so they're definitely guilty on a much larger scale than the plea. That's Pfizer, not just the individual execs. If government had some balls and just taken them off the Medicare/caid roles then they would have gone bankrupt or been broken up and the pieces bought up by competitors. Capitalism would have done its job. The upcoming corps would have had warning not to fuck with the government and precedent that they could be broken up if needed. Instead all the government did was give them as slap on the wrist and a candy bar and told them they can get as big as they want and get away with murder. Just like the bank and insurance industries.
You left out whether you will have a choice if you want to get anything done. I'm currently facing the same problem with computerization of government and other services as the older methods are phased out(mail, telephone) and your stuck with solutions that only support windows and osx and I run freebsd only.
You know there's something that's out there already called the "droid". It works great and does everything and more than the Ipad and actually fits in your pocket.
All this trouble just because the hard drive companies wanted to rip-off the public on the size of their drives. 80?B used to mean 80?B when base 2 was used but now 80?B is about 74?B with base 10. It's always been marketing BS that has a financial benefit for the drive makers nevermind stomping over industry standards. Shuttleworth/ubuntu you should know better and should be ashamed if you don't. 1k base 2 is 1024, 1k base 10 is 1000, and modern computers do everything as base 2, get over it. Just write the damn thing as 1k subscript 2 and 1k subscript 10 just like the rest of the math world and be done. Maybe even increase the intelligence of the public, who'd of thought. Just remember republicans created the economic mess of the last couple of years starting with the Reagan era deficits, later with the contract/ripoff with America in 1994, loosening of corporate accounting law, repeal of the 1930s banking laws, patriot act, etc. Both sides are backstabbing crooks who would kill your children if it was in their interest to do so.(both iraq wars, afghanistan, maybe iran) They'd do anything to get ahead in their personal quests instead of doing the job, that they volunteered and were voted in for, of running the country. How was it, "I'm just a politician so when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lolipops."
