Mac supports neither. Why would corp. buy computer with limited to no use?
Even new versions of Office for Mac won't support VBA and macros.
And I didn't even mention how difficult is to support two platforms with one set of IT support personnel that is comfortable only with Windows.
I think there are still some binaries used in intel's driver. There's 'regulatory daemon' and 'firmware' for intel 3945ABG cards, and both are required for WiFi card to work. At least firmware is not open source.
Putting everything as open source hurts companies, because competition gets free reverse engineered sample. And more and more of these devices relies on software side, not on the hardware. Why would they hurt themselves and release source code for minor market?
Yes, but RedHat haven't released new version in 2 yrs. Nothing beats that. By now so old kernel 2.6.9 should get in the way for many apps and hardware.

I don't think so. As almost all older apps work with Vista, so will the viruses. Except ones that target specific vulnerabilities in OS and Internet Explorer.

What a joke. FC6 on day of release had already 20MB of software updates. Day later - 100MB. So called great updater has to download whole RPM package for a minor update.
I can't imagine anybody in large corporations wants to spend all their time and bandwidth propagating bleeding-edge software updates.
..of SuSE. SuSE looks good, mature, polished, professional, industrial, etc. It is not secret that SuSE always looked darn good. Unlike some other distros. Strongly IMO the GNOME themes that come with SuSE are very polished and not lacking in any department, an evidence of professional work.
Remember when Mr. Shuttleworth was calling for developers to improve the looks of Ubuntu? Well this is the same call. Let's get them when they are pissed. They got evident skills.
It is wonder that Novell has survived this long without distinctive product, and with every other major IT business providing similar solutions. This deal allows Novell to live as company, and perhaps invest this cash into something for the future.
Is Novell business to protect GPL for free, or to profit?
Finally acquisition of SuSE paid off for them. Conspiracy theorists could claim that this was planned from start by Microsoft and Novell.
I would too sell somebody else's property for hundred millions of dollars.
Is battery nano too? There's no valuable information in the articles at all. As far I know, wireless sensors aren't that small, and battery makes them very bulky. If they are using some new technology, where's proof?

Only thing they ("analysts") understand is that unless they put out baseless claims frequently, they are out of job.
On contrary, this is why I would never pay a penny for it.
