While I am on my hinge-rant, my macair hinge went out in 5years, ($300 to replace). But my best machine is my Sony Vaio which if freakin awesome hinge still going strong after 8years of abuse.

This is bogus. As others have said, "DRM done right doesn't get in the way". I don't see how anyone can build any software without DRM. Sure, I love Open Source, but businesses need stuff that works the way they want. We want to pay some money, have lots of competition and plan our businesses. I publish all kinds of free stuff, I pirate [some] movies, but I understand the balance here and don't advocate Anarchy (no DRM, steal everything) mentality.

Second of course is that we will get cruise controls like this.. Eventually we will just use highways exclusively, turn on our google-cruise and sit back and surf. If you have something to do in a car, you don't mind getting somewhere 10 minutes later.
So the future will be full of drone-cars delivering pizzas, and drone-drivers surfing porn in private and no one speeding.
