Typically, that is the default file system. That is how you will get the best support when there is an issue. It will also be the most stable with your OS because the developers focus on that FS. So personally, I would use whatever is the default FS for whatever OS you decide to use.
To get off topic a bit, IMHO that OS should be Debian because it is just too awesome and Debian based OS's have the largest community. Also, it should be running on Linode.com;)
Although I agree that Xen is a "no. Just no." for a beginner, you seem to have an attitude against it in a corporate/commercial world? Right from their website, "The Xen Hypervisor has a user base in the millions, that include cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Rackspace Hosting, Linode".
I use ESXi as well on an almost daily basis, but you seem to have drank the VMWare kool-aid. That or you are SUPER vendor locked in and so you've given up.
"...but I would expect most Linux users to know that and make an informed decision."
Typically true, but it should make a difference that Ubuntu isn't targeting the average Linux user (IMHO). They are targeting everyday users as well by trying to make their interface as easy to use as possible.
This is how it should have been in the first place. As a user of Ubuntu when I do decide to install 12.10 I would like to be greeted with the option to opt-in rather than having the ability to "opt-out" by changing settings after the install. Personally, I will opt-in just to be able to support Ubuntu in even the smallest way.
Get a camera+dvr kit from any super club store (Costco, Sam's Club) or online at any large tech selling company (Tigerdirect.com). Seriously, ~$500 will probably get you 8 cameras that can be set to motion activated recording.
Your welcome.
Ha nice scene to lead us all too. But I just wanted to chime in and say that swordfish was much more "awesomer". It was cool because if you recall from Swordfish the huge monitor array setup, it must have been like 10 monitors were all SGI brand 17 inch LCD screens. At the time, I was working for an SGI refurbishing company and I was using those monitors every day. It makes the movie that much more personal and "awesomer".
Haha yes exactly what I was thinking. If this was Facebook I would like this. Before I even read the summary--just from reading the article title--I was thinking no way.
I don't exactly understand what you're saying but, the exponential growth of the U.S. Government IS because of spending ourselves into debt. Now, it is beginning to bite us in the ass.
Idk, I think their would be a lot of laws passed; However, they would be constantly changing. Mob rule would be fun to watch, as long as it wasn't my country.
This is just so cool, I'm not a fan analyzing art but, I like visiting museums because of the amount of detail I can see in an artwork. Well I just zoomed in and saw some extremely fine paint strokes in one of the museums. This gets my utterly worthless approval.
"Has it come time to ban some of the classics before someone else goes out and breaks a few bricks with their heads after eating a large mushroom?"
I know this is probably just a joke, but it's not funny. Why is it the first thing so many people think of in response to events like this is that the government should get involved?
Quit suggesting over-regulation for a government that is already over-regulating my life and my businesses.
but, isn't this a little ironic that this poll is extremely biased, and it is.
* 72 percent believe the health reform law will increase the deficit
How will it not?
* 72 percent believe the economy is getting worse
How is it not getting worse? Look at more numbers then just what they taught you in your first year of college macro econ class.
* 60 percent believe climate change is not occurring
Most everyone knows the climate is changing, this is probably people answering wrong. What they actually mean is that they do not
believe it is a problem to worry about. Why can't they trust in their religions and believe that nothing real bad will come out of it.
Especially when we only have enough data about global warming for IDK how long, half a century? In a world that has been around for at least
10,000 years.
* 56 percent believe Obama initiated the GM/Chrysler bailout
* 63 percent believe Obama was not born in the U.S. (or that it is unclear)
So, you are telling me that it is wrong for people to speculate things? Boy, what a world it would be if
nobody ever questions others.
P.S. I'm not trying to come off as a hard headed conservative brat, but this poll seems like bullshit to me. The questions that were asked
could all be worded in a way to make any group of people look stupid (manipulation.)
Actually I do know where most of it is spent, Defense. Now I'm not going to get into a debate about whether we should or should not be or have been in certain wars, but that is the one thing that the government (specifically federal) does have the right to spend the population into debt.
Not to get too far off the subject matter but..
What is wrong about Palin ripping apart JFK, do some REAL research about him and him during his presidency and how he played with America's economy.
Of course, I listen to things Glenn Beck has to say so my mind must be poisoned. Sorry to majority of you/. posters but I HATE big government and I believe slowly we should be reducing our government size (such as agencies) by about half. Too many agencies do nothing but to provide jobs, where the private sector could be doing the same thing. In doing such a thing, our deficit will be reduced and by eliminating government slowly, jobs will be gained as they are lost.
OK, done with my rant.

Right, and I understand that. I'm just saying that Ubuntu is trying to target the everyday user, I don't know if it is successful or not.

Seriously, if anyone one is interested in helping or collaborating or anything like that just email me: mike {[ et ]} computershine, com
Your signature... Def the HP with the i7, ram is cheap and you prob won't be using 8 GB anyways.
Just an FYI, here is a link to remove the nasty default scrollbar in Ubuntu. It's one of the first things I do on a new install.
If they spend more time on the appearance, maybe I will actually enjoy Unity.

What four year old is still swallowing random objects?
Hey now, lets not be rude.
You mean to tell me, my clients may now have lower rankings to some stupid government website! This is horse shit!

How are the reasons behind it corrupt?

Maybe this is true, but so far I am happy with the results.

No need to waste space on the default install when so few of people use it
