Note that Planescape: Torment laughs at the mindless hack 'n' slash genre. There's a Modron gauntlet you can access mid-way through the game; it's something you need to see to appreciate.
That only highlighted to me why I loved the game: it had depth. I'm sure it's less dynamic than I give it credit for, but I never felt steamrollered into a choice. Not many games can boast that.
There are two genres that will always have the undivided attention of gamers pointing at PCs: FPS and RTS. The standard input devices that come with a PC (keyboard and mouse) are essential to these genres. Until that changes, consoles won't really be able to approach them.
(Yes, I know that there are FPSs in the console market and that the first RTS was there too, but the mouse is an essential to these games. Ever tried playing an FPS against someone that only uses the keyboard or a console controller?)
IM is about various kinds of notification: tracking the other user's online-ness (or not), hearing a sound when someone comes online, being interrupted
You just hit the nail on the head. Had I mod points, I would rate your comment as insightful.
I read the post, but I did my best to ignored the parts that were obviously wrong.
" The human race has always been meat eaters. What other purpose do cows, chickens and pigs serve?"
What next, should the sun revolve around the earth too? Reality isn't focused on people. If I serve no purpose to you, does that mean you can eat me?
I can't speak for the grandparent, but I can say that I do my personal best at minimizing the harm that I cause. It's not possible to avoid animal-based products; My taxes, for example, pay for a whole host of things which involve animals. However, it is possible to try and reduce the impact your life has.

Now now, let's be fair. This card game isn't being developed by Valve.
Because this is just another step towards The Visa Crucible.

People are made out of meat. Are they meant to be eaten?
