That was not feedback. Feedback is targetted at the developers. That was just a bashing/. comment. And "You're amateurish." is not a good feedback anyway.
This is amateur, uninspired, and completely misses the boat. God.... this is version 0.2 -- the second Étoilé release ever. It's targeted towards developers, not the general public. It's like saying that KDE 4 is crap, because the current Alpha 2 release is not polished.
> We should be able to use Windows ClearType instead of the ported OSX version (which sucks)
You mean that black letters on white backgroung actually appear as black letters on white backgroud sucks? You really prefer Windows' black-letters-appear-in-rainbow-colors technology? (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/de/d/d4/Cle artype.png) I tried Safari for Windows only for a very short time at a fried's house so I didn't experience any crashes, but at least the font rendering was way better than the ClearType stuff in IE.
> SVG has been in the WebKit nightly builds for over a year.
I know. I just feared that SVG won't be present in Safari 3, because it's too incomplete. The manager responsible for Safari could have said: "No SVG support is better than bad SVG support, because bad SVG support hurts our reputation more than no support at all."
I'm glad nobody had this opinion within Apple.
Now with Firefox, Opera, and Safari supporting SVG, I hope that finally some websites with SVGs start to pop up.
TextMate (as the name suggests) is a text editor. It's no IDE. Many people say that Xcode + TextMate is currently the best setup for Mac OS X development.
Firefox (and all other Mozilla browsers) already support that feature. It's just hidden.
HowTo: 1. Quit Firefox. 2. Open the file hostperm.1 (in your profile dir) with a text editor. 3. Add the following line: host object 2 www.macromedia.com (the spaces between host, object, etc are tabs) 4. Open Firefox and surf to http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/. Firefox should not display any Flash stuff. 5. ??? 6. Profit.;-)
MS had announced they'll ship an HD-DVD drive as addon. I won't be suprised, if MS is going to announce that at least the Premium packs will ship with HD-DVD as default internal drive.
Microsoft IS part of OASIS. If they felt, OpenDocument might not have all the features needed for MS Office, they could have worked with the comitee to extend the specifications - simmilar to what the KOffice representative did. But Microsoft chose not to participate and bet on their own formats.
But hey, the ODF specifications are not set in stone. MS can join the ODF comitee and work on an improved OpenDocument 1.1 standard.
"Spore is a computer game designed by Will Wright that simulates the complete history and future of life. (...) Spore is, at first glance, a 'teleological evolution' game: the player molds and guides a species across many generations, growing it from a single-celled organism into a more complex animal, until the species becomes intelligent. At this point the player begins molding and guiding this species' society, progressing towards a spacefaring civilization."

Safari 3 supports SVG! While the SVG compatibility is not that great, it's more than nothing.e =o and http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=541164451&size =o

What could MS do? Cry loud and stomp their feet on the ground? MS is just the distributor. MS does NOT hot any rights to Mass Effect or Jade Empire. Check http://www.bioware.com/legal/copyright.html if you don't believe me. (The page says: ''JADE EMPIRE © 2001-2003 BioWare Corp. Jade Empire, the Jade Empire logo, BioWare Corp., and the BioWare logo are trademarks of BioWare Corp.'' / ''MASS EFFECT © 2004-2005 BioWare Corp. Mass Effect, BioWare Corp., the BioWare Corp. logo, BioWare and the BioWare logo are either registered trademarks or trademarks of BioWare Corp.'')
Do you really think that MS and Adobe do not have official Leopard betas?
It was (around version 2.3 or something like that) the only Linux distro that allowed you to play Tetris while beeing installed to the hard disk. :-)

The beginning of Spore is more like E.V.O. on SNES.

I also prefer the FF games for SNES, but to be fair: Sony got ports from the old FF games and FF9 was quite good (IMHO).
