I am gonna wave a really big bull shit flag here. Have you ever taken any of IKEA's furniture/shelves apart to adjust them to fit in a different size location? I recently bought a wooden (so i thought) table from there to use as a work surface. I needed to cut the table down by a foot or so as it was to wide. Once it was cut... the table top was 2 1/2" thick with an 1/8" worth of veneer on the top and bottom with CARDBOARD honeycomb through the center of the entire table. Only the 2-3" of edges had "actual" wood in it.
This has not been an isolated incident with my experiences with IKEA furniture. Sure lots of their furniture is real wood, unless you get something that is painted white or other full solid color. Those painted items are completely made of MDF except for the feet, they were actually made of wood. So don't get them wet! Learn from my mistakes.
This is just my experience and your mileage may vary...
Great now I am sure there will be some company out there that will use this as a means of tracking people and selling it as a service. Kind of like the cell phone tracking for kids. I bet there will be some husbands or wives out there who want to see if their significant other was really where they claimed to be.
If Apple wants to do crap like this, why not just create a host file entry to the offending "deleting website" to prevent the phone from accessing the site. Make it work much like the poor man's version of ad blocking by setting the offending URL to pair up with 127.0.0.1. After all there is no place like 127.0.0.1
My buddy just ran in to this when returning from Grand Cayman. He and his wife went there for a week vacation and had a blast only to get screwed in Newark, NJ when they got back. My buddy has a full Irish background and his family has lived in the US for four generations. Because his full name some how matches that of a person suspected of terrorism associated with the IRA, he got detained and they took his laptop with no expected return date.
One good thing came out of it though. Since the family laptop (doubles as the house computer too) is now gone for a while. We are building a new gaming rig so he can get back on WOW. Our guild misses him.
Ok... My wife needed a new computer. She wanted a "pretty" one. She wanted the iMac 20" aluminum. I showed her the basics of its use (several times over). After about a day of complaining that she did not understand how to use it because it was too different, I was forced to load Windows Vista on it for her. Oh well... She no longer complains about not knowing how to use it, just that it breaks a lot.

A few years a go a dude in Spain wrote a virus to do this same thing. Pretty creepy if you ask me. http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/2125724/peeping-tom-webcam-worm-created-virus-writers
