Did you actually read the fucking section? Where in the hell did you make the connection to the accounts or digital goods? Any lawyer would interpret that purely as the physical goods you get when you buy the game and NOTHING else. America is doomed I say due to illiterate people such as yourself. Dumbasses can't even be bothered to read what they are citing. It's to be expected I guess. Politicians & Religious groups do the same crap, and people just go along with it.
Please, do the world a favor, and take at least one reading comprehension class.
MTGO users own their online cards far more than any monthly MMO service. The real thing you own the cards, there is no monthly leasing fee, and you can actually redeem online cards for the real deal through WoTC. None of those apply to MMOs even slightly.
Definitely not the end user. Your leasing access to the character & the service. Stop paying for the account and see what happens. You get it taken away from you. Heck, try selling a leased car & see how far you get. It's the same thing pretty much. Only people really bitching about this are the lazy & those farming. Both of which I could a flying crap about. Lazyasses shouldn't bother & farmers need to find a day job.
You only need a 2nd Xbox if you go down the route of pirating games by putting them on the hard drive (biger HD). Otherwise when you switch the chip off, MS has no way of knowing the Xbox is chipped (when the chip is on it disables Live functionality for protection). As for softmods I have no idea if they work with newer 1.6 Xboxes. I would imagine they should since those are for the truly cheapass segment, and they bitch & moan the loudest. I just refuse to use them since a cheap chip that can not be detected, and is dead simple to put in is just a better choice. $20 more and you can get a generic solderless adapter thats made for most decent chips out there.
Sorry I assumed though since your on/. I'm always amazed when people on here don't have very basic soldering skills, or a cheap soldering iron that runs $5-$15.
Yeah, and you get access to the cell processor? Unless I'm wrong you get Linux treating the PS3 like a PPC system through the hypervisor which hands things off to the processors.
The original Xbox does games, and Media Center stuff much better for far less btw ($15 modchip or softmod required, and maybe half an hour of your time for setup). For those of us who don't want to have to re-encode our crap to one of the few formats the 360 recognizes it's a much better choice (Xvid, DivX, MOV, Mpeg4, OGG, etc). Not to mention anyone who wants to run something not windows. Just gota setup the SMB share. Hell it's even open source so you can do a hell of allot more. Remember this, Microsoft used Xbox Media Center as their template for the 360. The original here is much better than the copy-cat, and is still getting weekly updates.
Since were getting into semantic here. Let me rephrase that since were being anal. The only Bomberman you can easily get 10 friends to play. I have Atomic Bomberman, and am not nearly as impressed with it. It's a console game that doesn't translate to PC well.
Yes mobile carriers can triangulate your location from whats in the phone normally based on cell tower triangulation. I think the name of the day is GPRS. I know this partially because I'm in talks with Cingular to use that ability for my job. It won't let you see your location on your phone, but it will allow an outsider to narrow down your location within a 100meters area or so at minimum.
Two reasons the DC died. Sega seriously pissed off the Japanese gamer-base with tons of hardware that had little support. Sega CD, 32x, and the Saturn and I LOVE the Saturn. You can't get 8-10 player Bomberman anywhere else. Just as with the Sega CD & 32x, Sega did not support it very well before dumping it for the DC. They flatly got their act together too late. The other reason is how amazingly easy it was to pirate DC games. Utopia Bootdisk for instance? Hell it isn't that hard to make most games self-boot with the right patcher. Many cite Sony's hyping of the PS2s graphics that stole the DCs thunder, but that didn't do nearly as much damage as the first two.
Oh boo, fucking, ho. Apple doesn't want developers creating oddball software that'll dick up the iPod (it's an MP3 player, not a PDA). There isn't one other dedicated MP3 player out there that is open like you want (if they are they have virtualy nill market-share). Apple has however opened up the software to developers for the iPod a bit. Otherwise there wouldn't be the games available on the iTunes store right now. If you want open, go deal with iPod Linux, and other tools. Now if you were bitching about the iPhone's announcement that 3rd party will at the very minimum have a hard time I could understand. Hell thats kind of a deal-breaker for me if it's as restrictive as it sounds.
I find it interesting how you bitch that Apple is a closed culture, yet applaud Microsoft for bringing some standardization for the PC environment. Apple does things in reverse from Microsoft, plain & simple. They start with a neatly defined standard, make sure it works, expand it, allow developers more control, so on and so forth. You can piss & moan about the different business practices, but I can get a hell of allot more done, and with less headache, when using a system thats well defined from the get go than the one that just gets thrown out there once it barely functions, then gets incremental fixes.
The needing to lock down the phone line is a LOAD of bullshit indeed. You want to see open, try looking at cellular modems. If you want to try screwing with a network you don't get much more open than having a direct serial connection to a PC. I'm actually kinda surprised no ones attempted to mess with a carrier's network using one of those yet.
Corporate users need super cool 3D effects in their OS? This is news to me. Vista is just bloatware, and 10.5 should run just fine on the current systems. Certain psycotic visual effects may get turned off, but it'll run just fine, if not better than 10.4.8.
Yeah, too bad leeches generally aren't the social type. The "me, me, me" attitude generally tends to keep them as a singular person or small and insignificant group.
USB works just fine charging phones. My Treo 650 for example has a max charge rating of 5.2v over 1A. Normal USB would just take twice as long to charge. Chargers however that use the USB connector can, and do deliver a higher amount of power. Just because they use the connector, does not require they deliver 5v over 500mA.
Just need to spend a buck or two more per bulb. The cheapest ones do, and always will have a delay (Walmart has to be there to serve the cheapass market). Best way to have instant on bulbs is to look for ones that specify "instant on". I've had a few friends & family that switch after seeing mine, but end up buying the cheapest ones they can get their hands on. It's no surprise they end up trashing them once they learn their lesson (bicker over a buck, and get what you pay for) or go back to normal bulbs.
Thing I don't get is why manufacturers don't move to a USB standard charger connector. Even allows data transfer if you want to let the phone do that (no stupid assed, weird serial cables). Motorola for one has been using those on their phones for a while, and other mobile devices. It's nice China & South Korea are showing some initiative though. It'll take time for us to see though as to if manufacturers will actually do it. A penny more for a licensed connector vs something you build yourself for a penny less causes stupid decisions.
Which is why we get things like carpool lanes. It's the one thing I kinda like about LA. People can't impulsively jump in & out of the lane like all the rest (at most places I've seen). It keeps the quotient of people who can drive higher speeds themselves at a much better rate. To me those don't have as much to do with you having more than one person in your car. Just look at the hybrids, motorcycles, and other cars that are exempt from the two or more rules. If you are running anything but an old clunker that runs on just gas, or more than one person; your far more likely not to be doing stupid crap like others, have a car that can handle better (newer/maintained better), or quite possibly, a better driver.
If only we could get carpool lanes in Las Vegas where I live. If only they'd study traffic here right to find out how badly we need those -_-
And there are laws that forbid shooting accross or within a certain distance of a road. Not to mention laws forbidding discharging a firearm from a car. Not to entrap said poor hunter, but to protect the poor schmucks driving on the same road as the dipshit.
Hold up a second. The Wii is $250, has a game, wireless controller, and all the storage you need in the box. Max you need to spend extra is $30 for Component Cables if you want 480p. The 360 core system on the other hand is a sham. Wired controller, need to purchase a memory cart for $40 ($60 more and you could just get a real 360!), standard definition cables (360 is HD!), and no game in the box ($60 more for a game). Get real man. I'm all for the 360 doing well (I'll be picking one up after Xmas), but please pull your head out of your ass. The 360 costs $400 period. Anyone purchasing a core system is far too focused on the initial price-point, and is far more likely to buy a Wii if $60 more is going to break the bank to get a real 360.
Your no different from the frothing PS3 fanboys screaming that the $500 PS3 is there for the cost minded people. It's $100 more than the already $500 price. If you can afford the cheaper one, you can afford the right one.
Right...people are going to buy a $400 videogame system to play games they have played on the computer for years, can pickup standalone portable versions, or they can play on a cellphone or similar. Your right. 360 for teh win!
The thing is that I highly doubt that they got the search results from Google. My money is on that he had auto-complete turned on. No non-tech head has the sense to turn this off. I've found credit card numbers in some of my friend's auto-complete histories. Hit the down arrow key at the Google page when your on the search box, and you can get a fairly long list of previously searched items. This kind of stuff doesn't require any kind of court order with Google.
Today is the day to get yourself a Wiimote. I've been feeling the same frustration, but today stores in Las Vegas where I am got a crapload of everything. The Gamestop I got mine from still had two Wiimotes as of an hour ago.
There are extra options you can define in the game. For instance in Zelda you can define the width of the sensor-bar on your TV. I can't speak for RS however since I didn't buy that one. As for games like Time Crisis or House of the Dead that'll make their way onto the Wii eventually (yay, no flashing screen crap). You can be sure they will implement other ways to calibrate for a more "dead on" aim. For the current games? Theres no point! If you had to calibrate each time you sat down, the console would be a horrid failure. Most people can't calibrate gun games correctly.

Damn straight! Quicksilver is awesome!

Because RAZR is a piece of shit otherwise.
