Last I checked, microsoft office was not part of windows. One is supposed to pay in order to get it. A trial may be installed on your new computer but it is not a full version, and many people get a computer with a windows OS without office.

Split microsoft like Bell was split? Good idea. Have an OS division (or company), office should be it's own division. A software developer division, does msSQL deserve it's own division? I am not sure if that should be part of the developer application one. Just like Bell was broken up into the baby bells. Which in turn all joined up years later to form what we now call Verizon. Maybe a few baby bells are not part of Verizon yet, but a lot are. Even if microsoft was split up into 5-6+ separate companies. They would all still feed from the same source and profits would go to the same place. Unless microsoft was forced to separate the balance sheets for each division and all divisions had to live (or die) on their own, splitting up microsoft does not do any good. So we get a new company name and new boxes for software. The same people are still calling all the shots.

The rest of your rant about taxes has nothing to do with the anti trust case. You might want to look at who worked for microsoft before and during the anti trust case. Then go after those people. Employees who were hired after that case were not involved and they should not be punished for other people's screw ups. They may have to fix the screw ups, but those newer people should not be punished for it.

A lot of people do not like microsoft, but not all of the people who work there should be punished for it.

Genes have that to an extent. Brown eye color gene will override blue eye color gene. Darker skin tones override lighter ones. There are many others. Aren't genes what make up DNA? So if an individual is made up of all dominate trait genes, could it be said that the person has 'perfect DNA' then? After all their traits would dominate in their offspring. The same cannot be said of their grandchildren however I know.

I was going to point out the same thing. Obama got a lot of electoral votes. He did not have a landslide in the popular vote. Even in some states if you look at that state on a county by county basis (Ohio, Maryland, and Florida for example) those states went for Obama, but he had a minority of counties go his way. But the counties that Obama got were where the cities were. Win the cities == win that state seems to be the way to get those electoral votes.

Other factors come into play. Fitting in or any other way you call peer pressure. Even though a 15 year old is not a peer of a 24+ year old. (again the orgy girl). Not every girl goes on the pill if she is not having sex. Plus many see the pill as a free pass to have condom free sex. I am not saying not to have sex. Everyone should know what their choices are. Kids should be educated on what those choices are. And store owners should not stop a 15 year old from buying condoms. It happens in a lot of places. Try being the one to break it to your neighbor's that their kid asked you to get them condoms. That is a conservation that is not easy one to have. I usually hand the condoms to the parents and let them know their kids was asking for them. They might want to have a talk with them.

The only issue I have is maybe 1 out of 200 boots I need to hold the power button down to force a restart. I do not use sleep too much so I am not losing anything. Yes the netbook goes to sleep (close the lid) just fine. When I am done, I shut down. Having to reboot once in a while on start is not big deal.

I have the image saved and have applied it to 4 other netbooks. And before anyone freaks out I did but a copy of OSX and so did the owners of the other netbooks that OSX is running on. I did not charge, no profit was made. There is a legit copy of OSX on hand in case the Apple license police show up. What is harm to Apple? All I have done is prove that OSX can run on other hardware, it works well. And buying the netbook plus buying OSX is cheaper then Apple's lowest priced laptop. That might be Apple's issue. If you have the death penalty, use it. If the criminals know, that if they do something that society can and will kill them for it, we might have less crime. The biggest issue is the criminals know that they have years (if not decades) on death row before their day come up. In the mean time they can take law classes to figure out ways to keep their date of execution from arriving. I am sorry but if you are on death row (or have life in prison) you should not be allowed to take classes at all. The barrel is there so if someone stops them they can say they are catching oysters, here are the oyster permits. Even though they are fishing for oysters where no oyster has been caught in over 50 years. The flounder is a by-catch. The flounder is selling for 2-3 times the price of the oysters. They return to shore to sell the flounder and go out with the same barrel of oysters to catch more flounder. In reality, the commercial boats are targeting flounder and trying to cover their ass with the barrel of oysters. I know this because we have often stopped by the commercial boats on the way out and picked up four to five 5 gallon buckets of oysters (for free) to use as bait.
