    It makes perfect sense!!

    With windows licenes costing about $300 for a couple of processors

    With the total cost it would be more powerful to get linux and spend the left over increasing its performance.

    There will never be a .blog TLD because
    (1)It will probably contain porn so the chritian extremists would partitions the US to ban it,

    (2) The free speech supports would also want it banned because it could allow goverments to ban blogs just like http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/10/25/235524 3&from=rss

    egIn the ACT education deparment they have their own censors 1) All schools should be using the expensive ED net access- even though the ED belives schools should be partially self govorning 2) If you use free software(ie OSS), you are marked down in IT audits 3) One cannot search for an images on google because it can grab porn (even though looking at porn is agaisnt the AUP) 4) Most uses of their filtering software SINA/myinternet will ban you from accessing your own email Also like one of the other posts, the way to make atheists is to send your smart kids to a catholic school.(Thats what happend to some of my associates, they went to a catholic school and hated religion once they left)

    I'm surprised the US did that to their own citizens in those days. Now they are just incarcinating foreigners as animals in Gutatinmo Bay. Also their trials are designed to bring a guilty veridict. I imagine if the regualar joe kept his dogs in those conditions he would have been sued/fined big by the RSPCA or equivlant in no time.

    I agree it makes sense to MS to cripple a windows versions so they become expensive demos. If you want IIS pay(IIS is useful if you're playing around VS.net, apache much better though), if you want RD pay, if you want lock your kids accounts pay.... Though its not cripp,ed if all you want to do is download porn, spyware, addware, surf the net, check email, piss off the *AA.

    I agree DRM isn't bad. It is bad when they abuse their power its bad. Some example of the abuse are: Not letting CDs play in CD drives, paying for X song listens, only allowing windows and mac? users to watch DVDs on their computer.

    Also movie thearters suck with the bad behavour(food throwing, running), it much nicer and CHEAPER to buy the DVDs and watch them at home.

    At the moment it is a lopsided system which delivers too much power into American hands, but it does actually function.
    Though americans account for a majority lot of internet traffic. Take the Geobytes hompage for example:

    The majority of visitors come from the US.
    So shouldn't the country with most of the traffic be the one that controls it?

    Its not that difficult to make a website easy to read.

    Step 1: Allow text to be resized
    Step 2: Use an easy to read colour scheme
    Step 3: Don't use stuff like flash instead use XHTML or HTML is you want people to read it
