Of course, what the article fails to mention is that your vote is only worth so much depending on what state you live in. Remember, in the US, we elect through the electoral college which generally means (technically, the electors do not have to vote by what the people vote with an exception of a few states) your vote is counted within the state and not within the nation. So, how much is your vote worth? At the extreme ends, Wyoming, which has the least number of people for a state gets 3 electoral votes for about 500,000 people (0.0006%), whereas California has 55 for 38 million people (0.00001%).
Therefore, for every 1 vote for a Republican in Wyoming, 60 votes for a Democrat in California are needed to cancel each other out. And this mathematician wants to make it more "fair" by giving more votes to smaller states?
Average Wage in Shanghai: 1500 Yuan/Month (as of 2005)
Gold Farmer Wage (on the low end): 10yuan/hr * 8hrs a day * 5 days a week * 4 weeks a month = 1600 Yuan/Month
That's already above the average wage of Shanghai--the city with the highest wages within mainland China.
Only two? How lucky for you... Some of us have multiple screen names on at the same time (for fun, so fault is mine in the end) when we sign on... needless to say, I got a helluva lot more than just two IMs. Granted they were the two same bots, but 2 bot IMs x the # of sns on = spam.
A potential reasoning for the RIAA to try to sue the parents was that the last time they sued a young kid who downloaded a disney song, there was a backlash of disgust and some reporting on it (in the Times magazine if I recall correctly too). So, this was potentially a way for them to avoid bad publicity.
What was the purpose in allowing the AI on the harder levels to start with additional units? Can there be automatic settings where the harder levels (particularly for really small maps) where the AI is just smarter rather than given more units and less corruption (or is this just a limitation of AI technology at this point)?

Nice to see that some people actually read articles carefully and insightfully. Now if only the head people would do the same.
