Its really not a hard issue to sort out. If you want people to adopt make it look like something they know. Gimpshop's success showed if you want to use gimp make it look like photoshop. If you want users to use linux make it look like windows. Linspire started with that ethos, then sadly started "improving" the user interface. I am a techie and I can't use the interface.
BTW I am sure that novell, didn't release ALL the videos, I am sure there were some really catastrophic samples that were too damaging to show.

they have a tier 1 network, but surely their website is just as vulnerable as any others! its a server after all. Just because its on a tier 1 network, shouldn't be an issue.
I don't know why everyone is going so crazy about it... Its based on Firefox! With some custom extensions. Some people may even call it a fork! or from the design of a site maybe its more prudent to call it a spoon.
Like others I enjoyed the alpha centauri game and was delighted to hear that a group of Civ fans have already started to work on a alpha centauri mod. To what degree will the SDK allow them to achieve their goal, or are they better off waiting for an........ expansion pack.(nudge nudge, wink wink)
In terms of speed and customizability, I think Firefox wins hands down. I have been using opera as a 3rd browser for app testing or logging into a secondary gmail account. Its a good browser, but they will need to do a lot to replace it as my first choice.
BTW out of interest, why weren't you using the ad supported version if you liked it that much better than el Foxo

I am all in favour of using icebergs to cool the temperatures around where a hurricane is forming. After two or three hurricane seasons, global sea levels would have risen enough to see if we would start growing gills like they Costners in WATERWORLD. by the way the rest of the planet would be flooded, but hey no hurricanes!
I used to work in a major retailer in the UK. They could never get it 100%- we sometimes had loads of home versions and no professional and vice versa. Joe Public is going have a heart attack with all the complications. "I just want something that I can browse the internet and write word documents" Thank the almighty I am out of that game now!
