Am I the only one that remembers winpopup.exe... the network pager that was released in Windows For Workgroups 3.11? This is prior art to all the nVidia and fvwmpager stuff you guys are talking about.

Holy Lord, Slashdot... give the dude a break. He's the security advisor for their stuff, he doesn't write the code... and on top of it, he was in charge of security for some of the highest traffic sites ever! TOUGH!
Make this software and you'll be the coolest dude around:
1 web-based front-end that can:
-read the cd currently in the linux box's cd-rom drive
-copy all the tracks to the hard drive
-use lossless compression
-use a cddb type database for directory placement and file naming
-do real-time mp3 encoding and streaming
-burn tracks back onto a cd
if this could all be done through a web-based thing for those of us with a linux server in the closet, it would be EXCELLENT!
So if you were NASA's next director, what would you do with the agency? Men on Mars? Probes on Europa? Trans-warp drives?

what about us people that upgraded to the latest IE with no stability or speed setbacks? I'm using IE6 and it's great....
i download mozilla now and then, but what i like about ie more is the ability to customize the address bar/menu bar/button bar/ all into one bar at the top to save space. mozilla isn't as customizable without writing some annoying theme or something...
