If only the record companies could come to such an enlightened conclusion...

How about more inspiration and less specualtion? More perspiration and less litigation... what else rhymes with this...?

i know how to speak your language, can you speak mine? if one day, you do learn to speak it, maybe you'll understand what my nickname means, and maybe you'll feel embarrassed that you posted such an ignorant, self-centered (american) comment.

If they do that they NEED to start thinking about putting in a little style sheet somewhere. There's noway in hell I'd be using a word processor with that dreary google look to it.

    Blue links anyone?

never heard of knuth's book either, i'll look into that one.

  7. He's getting bad karma from name association on Wired Magazine Profile of Tim O'Reilly · · Score: 2, Insightful

I always felt a reluctance to the O'Reilly book because I thought they were published by Bill O'Reillys publishing company (I'm not a big fan of Bill O'Reilly).

I always saw those books and thought "hell no, I won't support that son of a b***h".

After reading this story today I might actually tak a look at his books.

  8. The USA paid for it on U.S. Insists On Keeping Control Of Internet · · Score: 1

The USA paid for the development of the internet, put in the manhours to develop it and "perfect" it. Then let the world share it for free. And now they're supposed to give the whole thing away entirely? It doesn't really make sense. And i utterly detest the US government as much as the next guy so don't get your panties twisted thinking i'm pro everything USA.

Sure but haven't we used cotton based clothes for quite some time now? and there hasn't been problems matching those with the iPod Nano before. I don't think micro particles in cotton clothing is to blame here.

  11. I stopped buying CDs long ago on Playing CDs a Privilege Not A Right · · Score: 1

I stopped buying CDs long ago, not as a protest, more because of convenience. My computer IS my home entertainment system. My computer IS my music player, my video/DVD player. I don't want to walk across the room to find a CD, listen to three songs, then walk across the room again to change CD. That's history. If they don't make CDs that will play in all computers, well who cares - certainly not me. CDs mean NOTHING to me anymore.
